The Grosvenor Arms

Un posto stupendo, esattamente quello che ti immagini quando pensi a un soggiorno nella campagna inglese. Le camere erano molto cosy, il cibo buonissimo e lo staff gentilissimo e disponibile.

The GA got has everything you need. A wonderful Pub/Bar and Restaurant, cozy rooms and a staff that makes sure your stay is a great one. The Bar is a great place to hang with your friends after an active day. Tasty craft beer on tab!

The building, location and decor but mostly the fact that they seemed to really have thought what guests might like. Basic stuff but so many places get it wrong. Very comfy bed and delicious breakfast too. Have already rebooked.

The only downside was noise from the pub below and creaky floorboards (being a very old building) but this was all very quiet after 11pm and ear plugs were thoughtfully provided.

The location was perfect as we wanted to be in close proximity to our relatives that live near by. The breakfast was very good also. The pub itself was a lovely building. We did not hear any other guests during our stay.

The only problem was that it was too hot in the night. I think the radiator was turned up to heat the room before we arrived, but we didn't realise this and did not turn it down or off. The room was small so heated up quickly, also the description of the bed was king size and I don't think it was, but it was comfortable nevertheless.

The breakfast was very good plenty of choice .Had an evening meal the day we arrived joined by some friends and the food was excellent the staff were very pleasant and attentive.

We did not have milk in our room the second morning, and it was not explained clearly how to get into the hotel after hours .

Essen gut, wirklich schönes authentisches Pub Restaurant mit Kamin und gemütlich.

Badezimmertür so niedrig, dass man mit 177cm den Kopf angestossen hat. Wir hatten seriöse Verletzungen und waren am bluten, so in der Nacht aufs Klo zu gehen, ist kein Spass. Natürlich ist das Gebäude wohl denkmalgeschützt und ein Umbau wohl nicht möglich, jedoch wirklich fahrlässig und gefährlich und Preis definitiv nicht gerechtfertigt, mit einem Zimmer mit nur einem Mini-Fenster und dem Badezimmertür-Problem. Steckdosen fehlen ebenso.
