The Globe Inn Wells

Staff and food excellent, room a bit shabby, the mattress was fit only for the tip, no areas for non dog owners not even in restaurant, dogs being fed by owners from table, staff petting dogs, hotel said dog friendly, which is fine, the reality is dogs and owners rule, we booked a table for two, on arrival it was surrounded by dogs, staff were brilliant in finding us a table a bit later, but we felt like the bad guys, need to make it clear that whole place is given over to dogs and owners, we won’t be staying again

The room was lovely. On arrival at the property I immediately noticed we only had one cup for drinks. I immediately informed the Globe Inn and spoke to someone on the phone. They promised they would get someone to bring a cup to us, but it never happened. I found this service very poor.

Lovely place to stay, room very pleasant. Staff really helpful. Only one small negative that breakfast was at the main hotel , our room was in another annex some distance away. I would recommend you make sure you realise where your accommodation is .

Very relaxing stay, lovely bar and cosy restaurant, room was clean and spacious, easy 5 minute walk to the sea, pizza from the onsite pizza oven was great

Everything was excellent for our stay. The rooms and decor were beautifully designed, everything had been thought off, with additional amenities for tea and coffee onsite, even thought the accommodation was a 5 minute walk from the main hotel/ restaurant. Breakfast service, menu choices and quality of food were all 5 star. I'd definitely book another stay when I'm in the area again,

We had a great stay however the bath was very slow to drain and was very slippery when showering. We put the mat in and kept on it to avoid slipping.

Amazing stay, beautiful location, everything spotless, service amazing. Only feedback would be tv would not pick up any signal, not a major issue for us as we were out sightseeing most of the time.

A short overnight in Wells. The Globe was convenient for a Lunch at The Crab House-only a short walk through a delightful old fashioned seaside High St. Parking was easy and free around the Buttlands Green. Hotel staff throughout were extremely helpful and pleasant and the rooms were clean and although fairly small, well equipped with all we needed. The Bar worked well and Breakfast in a busy but well orchestrated setting was magnificent-quite honestly as good as I have had for some time. Scrambled egg was perfect, sausage and bacon tasty and presented perfectly. We will stay again.

Staff very friendly. Decor in room need tidying. Mattress lumpy, and noise heard from kitchen below quite loud. Service good, good is good. Cost of food and drinks higher than expected, although relevant to area.

Lovey hotel. Staff are first class.
