Beautiful property and location.

At Casa Modesto, we felt truly welcome—just like part of the family. From the very beginning, we received valuable tips on where to eat, what to visit, and more. The breakfasts were amazing, and the accommodation was excellent as well. This place has heart, and you can really feel it. Want to go biking? No problem—they have bikes on-site. Prefer to relax by the pool? That’s an option too. The owners also sell regional wines, which is a great added convenience. It was our first time in Portugal, but definitely not our last time at Casa Modesto! ;)

You can dont like such architecture or familyfriendly aproach but honestly, casa modesto does not have disadvantages

Pequeno-almoço sumptuoso. O chef Alexandre desceu directamente dos céus para a Casa Modesta. Todas as manhãs, há fruta fresca e exótica, papas de aveia com um toque mágico, fruta assada no forno, pão de nozes feito pelo próprio! O sumo de laranja é do laranjal do quintal vizinho, o queijo, as compotas, os ovos mediante pedido do capricho dos hóspedes... É tudo delicioso e exposto em beleza com cerâmica e naperons, a fazer lembrar a infância de cada um. As mesas são postas ao lado da pequena piscina, entre as árvores e os cactos aéreos. O honest bar é um conceito que se ancora no princípio da honra, os quartos são modestos e cómodos, o projecto de arquitectura (PAR) é de extrema beleza e bom gosto, o minimalismo mostra-nos a importância de cada detalhe. Nota máxima para acolhimento dos anfitriões. E ainda aproveitámos as bicicletas do alojamento para passear no trilho ao longo da ria, até à Fuseta. Lugar perfeito, sem dúvida.

amazing place, hosts & breakfast.

Loved this place! Architecturally it’s beautiful and the grounds are very peaceful, my dogs were made to feel very welcome indeed and had the run of the place. I opted to have dinner which was delicious and breakfast also delicious and great choice! It’s family run and all the people who work there are very friendly and pleasant! I’m glad I found.

These are just little points otherwise the stay was amazing and I would definitely recommend and go back. The dinner was €60 and was amazing and they worked with my gluten free intolerance but I got told at booking it had drinks so I assumed wine was included. It was just water.. also they do not sell wine by the glass which would be nice but have a great selection by the bottle in their honesty bar. Also would have liked to see the fire lit in reception and bar area at night especially during these colder months. I could have heat in the room but it would have been nice in communal areas such as bar area etc as those were cold and I wanted to sit elsewhere not just room.
