Golden Hill Guest House

Breakfast was excellent, but make sure to fill in any dietary requests before arriving. Access to the pool was lovely, and meeting the beautiful black German Shepherd was a treat! Being able to sit out on the patio and enjoy a glass of wine and sunset was terrific.

The weather was particularly hot when we visited so no aircon in the room was a little difficult. It might not suit everyone, but the owners gave us the option of cancelling which was generous.

Dass ich nur 2 Nächte da war

Sehr schönes Gästehaus, große Zimmer mit Balkon oder Terrasse, großer Garten mit Pool, insgesamt viel Platz für die Gäste. Die Lage ist sehr gut und sicher, viele Restaurants und Wandermöglichkeiten in der Nähe, auch der Flughafen Kapstadt ist nicht weit entfernt. Wilfried und Melanie sind sehr freundlich und stets hilfsbereit. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und planen schon den nächsten Aufenthalt bei ihnen.

Lovely 3 night stay at Golden Hill. It was basic but very nice and for the charge good value overall. Having come at the end of this times visit to South Africa the fact there was no TV was a bonus (even with the DTV set-to boxes, there is nothing of real interest to watch!) Our welcome was friendly and good, breakfasts lovely and (as many reviewers have mentioned) Sushi the dog a bonus for all dog lovers. The area and property felt very safe, the garden is magnificent. From Upper Mountain Road, everywhere was reachable with either UBER or self drive thoroughly enjoyed our stay..

With temps of 30+ the fact there was no air con made me slightly nervous but the room we were is had a balcony door one side and a window the other and with the electric fan it was as good as having air con.

The amazing hosts presented a generous breakfast spread in addition to the warm offerings. Super attentive to needs and timelines. Their gorgeous dog, Sushi, was the cherry on top!

Great place to come back to after an epic mountain bike race....Melanie is super helpful going the extra mile to accommodate all bikers' needs
