Great North Hotel

We've stayed here before and always the same high quality of accommodation. Plus there is EV charging on site which is a bonus.

Nothing as per usual

Good size bathroom, great location, great breakfast options and really helpful staff. Good parking.

Recessed television had limited vision from the bed. The double bed felt narrow. Sadly there were inconsiderate other guests who thought shouting from room to room across the corridor was acceptable including early on a Sunday morning.

Everything the rooms are clean and very comfortable the bed would fit 3 people in and the facilities in the room excel any other hotel room I have stayed in

Amazing hotel, super friendly, relatively cheap compared to hotels based in the city with a great bar attached. Access to Newcastle is so easy as a bus stop is right outside and only £2.50 in to town. Breakfast is really good (book at reception night before for a reduction) and meals in the bar are also well worth trying. I would recommend upgrading to a junior suite if you can for a small amount more for the extra space and a fridge in your room. Special mention to Louise on the reception who always looks after me when I arrive and is super friendly and helpful.

It was comfortable and easy to find the pub and breakfast in the morning, we had cooked breakfasts from the menu which were nice

There is a tree outside the window which kept hitting the building making it noisy throughout the night
