The Harraseeket Inn & Event House Freeport Downtown

The "continental" breakfast was more than adequate, and other options at modest additional cost, such as eggs benedict over crab cakes. The swimming pool was warm and relaxing. Location was convenient to arrival from interstate, located in historic part of town near restaurants, coffee shop, boutique shopping, L.L. Bean. Afternoon tea is something not to miss for opportunity to mingle. Room service attention and reception staff were courteous and accommodating.

The only thing about our particular 3rd floor room that could have been a problem for tall guests was the sloped ceiling on one side of the room, not too much of a problem for us at under 5'8" to dodge. You could ask about this possible situation if you are assigned a room on top floor.

We had two spacy, clean and cozy ooms on the third floor with two beds, seating area and bathroom. Very nice. The hotel and its amenities like the pool, the grill-place, the breakfast room, the lobby area were extremely nice and everything has this beautiful New England charme. We really enjoyed our stay, and should we come back to Maine, we would stay there again. Also to be pointed out: very good breakfast with a nice selection and the possibility to order add-ons like fresh baked eggs, sausages or pancakes. And all was served on regular plates and actual silverware. No plastic knives and forkes, and no paper-plates. The Diner Restaurant we did not use, but met people that praised the food, and I believe it right away. Kids had great fun to grill complimentary marshmallows, and used the pool excessively too.

We did not like the townhouse that we originally booked for our stay with a Party of 4 adults and 2 kids. The townhouse #7 we had booked needs an update. The hotel reacted immediately and gave us two comfortable spacy rooms instead that we are rating here.

Breakfast (included) was great and reasonably priced optiins for omelet, Benedict etc. Madi was sych a breath if fresh air. Bright, cheerful, attentive without being overbearing. Destined to be kindergarten teacher......will.be incredible at such a formative age....as the twig is bent, so grows the tree. They will be in great hands!! Made meal more enjoyable!

Genuinely my favorite hotel of all time. There is just something so special about the harraseeket inn. My family and I have been coming for years, and we plan to continue to come in the future. The staff is truly so kind, and the food is delicious. I love how it has not changed much over the years, and afternoon tea is always so nice and so much fun. I highly recommend everyone to stay here. Freeport has so many things to do and is in a great location with the beach and Portland nearby. I truly cannot say anything poor about this place.

This is a very beautiful hotel. A classic New England inn at an excellent price. It’s easy walking distance from all of the Freeport shopping attractions.

As always, great, relaxing stay— very consistent, from the afternoon tea to the continental breakfast—both on the house!! The place is old-school gorgeous with impeccably clean rooms- love this place !
