The Harraseeket Inn & Event House Freeport Downtown

I’ve always liked the Harraseeket and think it’s good value for money. The location is also very close to the shopping district of Freeport.

Had to park quite far away which was a worry since my bicycle was in the car.

My family spent the day before Easter at the Harraseeket Inn. We stayed in one of the "Town Houses" on the property. Basically, it was a low-budget, 2-floor condo. The furniture was cheap and mismatched. It looked like it was furnished by someone who had gone to a yard sale and said, "I'll give you $20 for everything you have." The entire "Town House" needed an extreme makeover. The bathroom was grotty and cannot have been up to code. The area where afternoon tea was held also was in need of renovation and gave nursing home vibes. I had been excited to stay here, but would definitely not recommend it.

Pricing - staff - location - on site restaurant is excellent

HVAC was difficult to control and very noisy - shower tub combination was difficult to use due to very high step over and odd shower head - TV was difficult to control

Here on a brief personal trip and often have stayed at the Harraseeket. I was able to add early checkin and enjoy the afternoon tea after my day out! I took the opportunity to swim in the pool (although some older children were doing “cannonballs” into the water) . All in all, a pleasant experience.

The breakfast was more than enough! The quality of the fruit and baked goods was excellent. This free breakfast was a great value! Also, the hotel offers tea and cookies every afternoon. Such a sweet extra!

I do wish that there was a shuttle to and from the train station.

Location, and old inn feel. Lovely.

Little details. The elevator could use an uplift Where the tile meets the tub on the floor needs caulk in room 237. Disappointed that the bar/lounge was no longer open. We always enjoyed lunch in that space. This is small stuff.

Beautiful old hotel nicely updated. The grounds were lovely! Easy walk into town. The salmon and haddock dinners in the restaurant were delicious. Cozy sitting room area and pleasant staff. We would definitely stay here again.
