The Harraseeket Inn & Event House Freeport Downtown

The main hotel was beautiful and well maintained. The staff are all very nice. Wi had breakfast there all the days and it was very good.

We stayed in one of the townhouses. It was very dated with an odd mix of furnishings. The carpets were stained and the bathroom was tiny and had lots of cracked tiles and a cracked sink. The pillows were uncomfortable.

Breakfast was excellent, location superb.

Everyone at the Harraseeket was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was great. The room was clean when I checked in. The location should be closer to Old Orchard Beach. I don't know who gives out stars for hotels, but the Harraseeket deserves five stars.

Honestly, our experience was average at best at this hotel. I was in Freeport the first time this past fall and drove by. It looked charming and beautiful, but unfortunately the inside did not match. This place needs an interior paint job so bad on the 2nd anf 3rd floors were the guest rooms are and new carpeting. Our carpeting was very stained in our room. Walls are thin and could hear the people next door. The breakfast is continental , which is basically some cereal choices, pastries, and yogurt. They had bagels, but no cream cheese. We were told they were low. Talking to another guest who has stayed there frequently over the years he said it’s really gone downhill. He said they use to do a full buffet for breakfast and things were always so taken care of. The positives were the afternoon tea and snacks were a nice touch. The lobby and drawing room was decorated for Easter and lovely. We came in the off season, so the price was decent. I would never pay what they want during the busier tourist seasons.

We came for a banquet and thought everything was done very well. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to interstate and walking distance to downtown shops.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Inn for the first time. The main area was beautiful and inviting. They had coffee, tea and cocoa ready any time of day, which we appreciated. We were met upon check-in with a complementary wine and sat by the main floor sitting room by the fireplace. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, we stayed in a pet friendly king. The shower and jacuzzi tub were lovely, with the water staying nice and hot. The room was also clean and well cared for. Great area if you want to bring your pet as it’s separate from the main Inn. We only had breakfast at the Inn, but the food was delicious and dining room was comfortable. We ordered from the menu outside of the continental breakfast and were not disappointed. The continental offerings were great as well. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

The room was appointed with antiques, and the bed was super comfortable.
