The Harraseeket Inn & Event House Freeport Downtown

The only fly in the ointment was the so-called "Free" breakfast included with the room, it was a continental breakfast offering, my free breakfast cost $50. Continental was never mentioned prior to our going to the restaurant that morning. The problem continued as the breakfast was poor at best.

The townhouse accommodated the amount of people we had traveling in one unit instead of having to do multiple hotel rooms.

Many of light switches in the townhouse didn’t turn anything on or off. The kitchen was outdated and the kitchen table and chairs were best suited for a camp (mismatch and older).

We had a relaxing weekend, and look forward to another stay in the future.

One suggestion would be high rise toilets or hand rail.

The location was perfect. Kids had a great time in the pool. The continental breakfast was good and the drink tokens was a nice touch.

It was a bit chilly in the morning downstairs until we got the portable heaters going. It would have been nice to have a mop in the unit to clean up the kitchen floor since it snowed and the floor got wet and messy.

I have problems with my knees and hips and the toilet was very low to the floor causing me pain .My husband had to help- me on and off the toilet. i

The pool was nice. The restaurant decor was awesome but the food was so so.

This hotel needs some upkeep and renovation!

2 night stay in 2 bedroom townhouse. Wonderful time- the inn was welcoming, comfortable and even gave me flowers for my birthday.

I don't understand the negative reviews. Harraseeket remains a lovely Inn. The staff, especially the dining staff, were excellent. Bed and pillows made me stay in bed longer! Shower was great. Complimentary continental breakfast breakfast and afternoon tea were good and I appreciated them. I realize that gusted are disappointed in the missing more extravagant buffet breakfast from a couple of years ago. That would have been nice to have. Most of the front desk were welcoming and quite helpful. I will be reserving here again in my next visit to Maine.

We were in the Portland area visiting family and the Inn was the perfect place to base our stay. We stayed in a 3 bedroom Town House, which was roomy, super clean and comfy for our family and dog. They provided us with a bed, bowls, treats, and even a tennis ball! It was Valentine's Weekend so the Inn was decked out. People were enjoying the indoor pool and the fire pit and everything was so pretty with fresh snow. We had a nice continental breakfast by the fireplace in the morning. With only one night to stay we hope to come back sometime and enjoy the Harraskeet again!
