Convento das Bernardas by MY CHOICE

Wonderful large swimming pool, close to town so convenient for restaurants, getting on ferries, lovely historic building with comfortable contemporary apartments. Quiet and relaxing Staff were helpful and provided a good service

Not enough sun beds around pool Would have liked insect screens on all windows so you could have more windows open

The townhouse is in a quiet area of this beautiful complex. It was well equipped and clean. We loved the little private patio with an umbrella for shade.

We have stayed in this complex many times but I felt the high standard of before had slipped. The gardening duties were still maintained to a high level but the loungers / umbrella area often looked messy in the evenings. It has been mentioned many times before they need to provide many more umbrellas and loungers - there is ample space for them in areas away from the pool that would be very peaceful. This would stop people having to bring over other chairs or lying on the grass. Just be aware the apartments near the water from the salt flats were troubled by mosquitoes. The townhouse only had one bathroom. Most of the apartments have a bathroom and en-suite

The location of the flat is very good. The amenities are good, the pool is very nice and so is the location.

Unfortunately I didn't like many things about the host MY CHOICE. We agreed on a time for them to give us the key. We told them again that we were 30 minutes away and they replied that they would be there waiting for us. We arrived at the place at the agreed time and there was no-one there. We rang and they said they were on their way and would be there in 15 minutes. They arrived after 1 hour and 30 minutes. We have a 15-month-old baby. Imagine what it's like to wait all this time and be presented with various excuses, always saying that they were coming. We had asked for a baby cot in the room. They said yes. When we finally got in, they'd forgotten the cot. In other words, the flat wasn't delivered to us until more than two hours after the agreed time. I asked the person in charge of My CHoice to call me to tell him about my displeasure. There was no contact. I later found out from comments from other guests that this poor service from My Choice is usual.
