TownePlace Suites by Marriott Albuquerque Old Town

Everyone from the manager, to the front desk clerk to the breakfast attendant were very helpful. There was a mixup on our reservation and they took care of it. They made it good with Hotels.com. A gentleman by the name of Pralay was the breakfast attendant. Breakfast was excellent and Pralay was a ray of sunshine visiting with us, smiling and joking, etc. He showed a real interest in us. Great employee and representative. Our appreciation to all and thanks for turning a near disaster into a big plus!

Very nice stay at a lively property. The studio room was excellent with a fully equipped kitchen. Good free breakfast, very clean and quiet. The pool wasn’t open, which was the only downer. Staff were excellent!

The beds were amazing!! The staff was great!!

The hotel is pretty close to brand new. The area around it is still being built out. We arrived right around sunset and were quickly greeted and given our room. The room was spacious, nicely appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean as well. Easy and quick drive to Old Town if that is where you were going to..

Room is big, having great facilities as a complete kitchen, really useful for long stays. Room has a dishwasher which is great extra. Cheep laundry machines, which can help you in case of long stays / emergency. Located in West area of Albuquerque which is quite and really good starting point for travel.

Variation in breakfast - seems low, everyday was same breakfast. A little issue for long stays. Room service is split in two ways - one time refresh, second time full clean, which is not as good as full clean both times

We arrived late and left early at this hotel, and it was the perfect stop over on our road trip from Arizona to Philadelphia. It was easy to find, parking was easy and check-in was easy. It was clean and comfortable and lots of fridge space for our road trip cooler items.

Let me preface this by saying that I love staying at the Marriott family of properties, it is my preferred hotel line. My husband and I have stayed at this particular location almost half a dozen times and unfortunately have to report that this location operates with a lack of integrity. This location was a convenient middle stop to my husband's grandparents and we stayed here often while his grandmother was in hospice and we needed to travel back and forth. Our last reservation did not state that we had a pet with us but on our way home after his grandmother had passed away (just a few days before), and after a very long drive, my weary husband checked in and was presented with pet paperwork even though there was no pet with him and no pet was noted on the reservation. Needing to rest, he signed the paperwork. After we called the location to dispute the pet charge, where video cameras can clearly see that there was no pet brought into the location therefore no cleaning needed to be conducted or associated pet disruption to the hotel staff and services, the manager still refused to refund us the pet fee that they clearly did not earn. $50 (the pet fee) is a small amount compared to how much we have spent staying here numerous times, but this level of service shows a complete lack of integrity and prioritization of greed from the management team. I am submitting this as a PSA to any other clients that choose/chose to stay here and appear tired during their late check-in because I wouldn't doubt that this could possibly be a sneaky way of them to add additional fees to people's bills. Check your folios. I will be reporting this to corporate to see if they can be examined for a higher proportion of pet fees compared to other locations as this could be a sign of routine shady practices by management to increase location profits.

The pool was good, the room was spacious and having a full sized fridge in the room was a plus.

The breakfast was a major let down. My family and I expected a fulfilling breakfast but instead got no food left and nothing was being restocked.

it was easy to find, the beds were comfortable, and checkout wasn’t until noon. shower was also very good, and the room was very spacious. The hotel is near a public bus stop so it was pretty easy to take transit into downtown.

we got to breakfast around 9 and there wasn’t much left. We had to go to reception and alert them that the breakfast area needed servicing. The housekeepers came and knocked on the door multiple times early in the morning, waking us up. The location says “old town” but it feels more like sprawling suburbs and seems quite far from walkable/pedestrian areas.
