"Wonderful authentic experience"

The family was so welcoming and friendly. The property was well situated a short walk from the main square and the start of a number of walks. Super onsen and DELICIOUS food!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

"A beautiful family run lodge nestled into the picturesque hillside of Norikura Kogen."

Poetical was an absolute delight to visit. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and helpful. They had no issue with adjusting my dinner to suit my dietary requirements and it was delicious! The hot spring in the lodge was incredible, very atmospheric and relaxing. I found generally, Poetical lodge to be relaxing and comfortable. I can't wait to return!

Breakfast was amazing, the hosts were so sweet, the onsens were so lovely- there are two private onsen rooms, each with one indoor and one outdoor onsen. It was amazing to sit in a hot onsen in the snowy outdoors. They picked us up from the bus stop too, even with short notice and at night.

"Amazing, peaceful family run B&B with great food!"

Incredible natural mineral onsens which you could enjoy in private. Location is very peaceful and scenic surrounded by ski hills if you visit during the season. The family who owns and runs the B&B are some of the kindest people we have met during our entire trip in Japan and are amazing cooks who were able to accommodate our vegan diet with incredible Japanese style breakfasts and dinners which were all delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice peaceful stay, and hope to return someday.

"Beautiful stay in Norikura"

Beautiful family-run homestay nestled into the edge of the forest. The owners speak little english but are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting the private onsen and the dinner was delicious (we left before breakfast). The room was comfortable and spacious.

It was a little noisy when other guests moved about the corridors/stairs (clearly hear people talking, stairs creaking etc) however it was very quite at night.
