Host & Stay - No 5 Hoggarths Yard

The house itself was very nice.

Internet not the best.

The house itself was good, brilliant location and spacious.

More suited for those with pets, wee marks all over lounge carpet, stunk of dogs and we left with a lot of flea bites

The property is good but could be better, the location is also very good, around a 10 minute walk to the centre of Whitby. Good size living space and bedrooms, kitchen is well equipped and the outside seating area is a bonus along with the parking.

To bring this property up to a premium standard based on the £200 per night stay the following things need addressing. 1 Living room carpet needs replacing, it has deep stains and is very dirty looking. 2 The mattress needs replacing in the front double bedroom, there is a spring coming through. 3 The walls in general need touching up where they have been scuffed or marked. 4 The constant emails from Host & Stay telling you to do this that and the other are not necessary in my opinion. 5 WiFi pretty average. If all of the above where addressed,which are not big things, the property would be amazing.

Great location Good to have a yard for the dog.

Fridge freezer not working..not told before we arrived. Had to arrange for replacement fridge to be delivered as we had food that was melting. Dirty tissues left, empty vodka bottle and empty wine bottle left Single bed uncomfy Bathroom needs upgrading, poor finish. Cobwebs on lights and dead flies on widow sills.

the single bed mattress could do with being replaced could feel the wooden supports through it from the base of the bed. fridge appeared not to be working.

Location was easy to find with parking facility Large modern property

Cleanliness and maintenance issues. Cleaning wipes and dirt left in the entrance hall to greet the guests. Ashtrays left full on the outside table. Good dusting and cleaning required Mould around the bath and sinks including plug holes.Stained carpets in the living room.
