Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Rocky Mount

Fairfield was a great place to call "home" for 5 nights. Great location! Friendly staff!

Great hotel to have a good rest !

I felt safe as a solo traveler and will stay here again.

Check-in was a bit slow. Air conditioner in the room was VERY noisy. Beds were grooved from use. It wad very clean and spacious. Well worth the money!

We were not happy about the service from the front desk. Internet never worked. The pullout sofa did not have sheets so the front desk lady who was nowhere to be seen for a while not answering the phone had to change us to another room only to find that the other room did not have sheets either. She had to go find the sheets herself which did not do in the first place when i told her and she replied that housekeeping was not there. Elevator was not working. Breakfast was good. The property needs very little maintenance but the hotel was not ready for 4th of july weekend.

It was comfortable. Pool was very cloudy looking. So that was a No!

I booked this hotel on my phone on the way home, so I didn't read reviews. I did notice it got four out of five stars. That was good enough for me, or so I thought. I actually am being generous giving it a two. It was old and very, very tired. We didn't have any doors on our closet. Any of the bed offerings were just queen size, which made the bedroom smaller. The bed was really sloppily made, although it was clean. There was a pile of dirty towels behind the bathroom door that my husband didn't notice until he was about to take his shower. The only thing that allows me to give this hotel a two is it had a wonderful breakfast area. There was a nice variety of food, kept replenished, hot, clean and neat. In addition, the breakfast area was also clean and very inviting....not at all like the rest of the hotel. They must have at least remodeled that area at some point. Don't waste your money!!

The front desk staff was courteous and breakfast was great. However, I stayed there four days and my room never got cleaned. Each day they said the run will be a priority, but it never got cleaned. This was very disappointing. I had to ask for clean towels daily, and a trash bag to clean my room. I felt like I was working and on vacation.
