A great continental breakfast was served with a good selection of cereals, pastries, bread, fruit, yogurt etc. with a flexible seating period

Nothing really disappointed us. If I'm being picky, there was no cover or valance on the bed base, which was exposed and little untidy looking.

The hotels position in a lovely small town. The room was big and the bathroom new. Bed was comfortable. Towels and linen good. Two fans were provided for the very hot weather. The staff were all lovely.

Our room was in the attic which was a bit tricky for my tall husband. The bar closed at 9.45.

Fantastic historic property, full of character and characters!! Everything you could think of provided by really friendly, caring and human staff. Really good value, wonderful food served in delightful traditional style dining room. Beer garden full of birdsong ( and 80s hits when the pub is in full swing!). We met interesting helpful locals and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely little town with a comprehensive shop and services. Crisp and comfy bed and whirlpool bath with shower. Good tower fan which we used in the heatwave..

Hotel is very conveniently located on the main street of Presteigne. Its old, quirky, well maintained and the staff are very friendly. Room was comfortable, and the food was fine (not gourmet but decent standard and reasonably priced). We were lucky with the weather and the hotel grounds / garden are excellent for relaxation and a quiet drink. We may well stay there again.

No negative points. There wasn't a cooked breakfast option (its cereals, fruit, toast etc, and plenty of them) but we are not big cooked breakfast eaters so weren't concerned.

A fabulous stay. Really lovely staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, frazzled, straight from a music festival! The garden was perfect, and we enjoyed a delicious pizzas and a vegi/halloumi burger whilst our kids ate then enjoyed the play area. Our room was fabulous - what a bed! Breakfast, despite there being no hot option, was delicious and plentiful. Thanks for a great stay and if we're ever in the area again, we'd definitely stay here!

There was no plant based margarine, but this was a very minor detail.

Wonderful pub, pleasant staff and great family accommodation. Food was nice and the continental breakfast was lovely with staff constantly refreshing. The fan was great as it was 30 degrees! as were the bottles of water provided in the fridge and biscuits. Thank you.

No faults really as family apartment 3 was great but if I had to comment on something it would be that upon arrival we did find a sock sticking out from under the bed and there were a few spiders and a cobwebs in the bathroom and living area that some people may not like.

Loved the whole package, just what we wanted at the end of our City break
