Palazzo Gargano Amalfi

The room was located 5 minutes walk from the main square, in a beautiful historical building with ancient decorations on the ground floor. The room was rather spacious with a huge well equipped terrace. It was fresh and newly renovated, always very clean. The beach bag and beach towels were also provided, and it was very helpful. Luigi was the best host I've ever had in my life. He immediately answered on all my requests and provided with all necessary information in a very friendly manner, recommended very nice places for breakfast, lunch and dinner, helped to reserve the restaurants, helped with parking, with commuting to Ravello and other small towns on the seaside. I was pleased with welcome seasonal fruits and drinks in the room.

Amazing property in the middle of town. We were lucky to have a balcony overlooking beautiful mountains in the back. Luigi, the host was helping us all the way and providing good tips for things to do and most important for dinner and drinks.

The hospitality and service from Luigi, the concierge was second to none, and by far the best throughout our Italian/Sicilian holiday. he met us and helped us park nearby, navigating busy streets. He helped us book bus tickets, pay a toll account and great recommendatiuons for local walks and places to visit. The bed was comfortable, with servcing each day. We left our washing out and on return it would be hung out to dry on our terrace. We loved our beautiful spacious terrace looking up at the mountains of Amalfi. This hotel is very old and unique and located in the quieter end of Amalfi, a short walk up the main street from the piazza. Luigi provided fresh fruit for our breakfast and complimentary drinks and limoncello.

Great location on the main street yet far enough away from the square to quiet down. Very modern room with a balcony All electrical outlets recently updated included USB ports. Bed, furniture and decor well selected. Inside a building with stairs (of course, this is Amalfi) we were greeted on the second floor common area by an unexpected fresco. Luigi has connections and was able to help me see a private family chapel. That was deeply moving and I give him high praise. The rooms were cleaned better here than any other place on our trip. This is the place to stay.

We walked past it a couple times. The owner, Luigi, gave us good directions that got us there after we passed it.

This is an absolute pearl in Amalfi. The entrance, the room and the balcony with a breathtaking view are elegant and stunning. Our host Luigi was very helpful and charming, recommending places and things to see. He helped us with the luggage and even the car as parking in Amalfi is very tricky (best to avoid it). We had a lovely mini holiday and wouldn’t stay anywhere else next time.

Where to even begin….Luigi - the kindest most helpful host! Before we even arrived he messaged us to make sure we could get to the property ok (super easy to find) and sent us a list of recommendations of where to eat ect (definitely visit Donna Stella if you are here!). Location was perfect, just off the Main Street so easy to walk to from bus/port ect (even with luggage). We were blown away by the entrance alone to the building - beautiful! Luigi took our bags to the room - and wow - what a room! Room no. 3 with the biggest terrace!! Beautiful room, super clean bathroom and comfiest bed. Eye masks/toothburshes provided, beach bag and towels, robes/ slippers/toiletries. Amazing personal touches as well - fresh fruit/tea/coffee/water/beer & limoncello. Room tidied everyday and mini bar replenished. Value for money was outstanding considering the prices in Amalfi. We asked for advice on a day trip we had planned and Luigi recommended travel / best route ect. We only spent 2 nights here but if you are exploring Amalfi coast this is the place to base yourself! Thank you SO much for genuinely one of the best most pleasant stays! Would 100% recommend.
