Farndale Cottage

Beautiful cosy super clean cottage. It’s full of character and just gorgeous. Everything you need for a lovely break. Location is perfect, 5 minute walk into town and to the beach. Shops a minute away including a bakery where we bought fresh pastries for breakfast. The host is so helpful and communication was excellent throughout. Easy to find and collect keys. 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. We booked for 6 but were only 4 but would have been plenty of room for 6. Kitchen has everything you need. Beds comfy with quality bedding that was all clean and fresh. Plenty of towels supplied. Highly recommend a stay here. Hoping to go back. We left feeling calm and relaxed.

The location was perfect, really central and I would recommend it to everyone 😀💕plenty of room and very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.💕

Great location, within walking distance to centre of town. Excellent bakery at bottom of street. Lovely cafes nearby.

Some beds are uncomfortable. Parking is difficult and although we were given parking permits by the host we could never find a space and had to pay.

The property was fantastic, a fantastic space for our trip with a family of 6. It’s located in a perfect place, close to the beach, Whitby Abbey and all amenities! There are a number of cafes close by and a lovely bakery at the bottom of the road. It was pretty easy to find parking nearby with the permits and Charlotte was so helpful from start to finish! We will definitely be back for another stay :)

Beautiful, well appointed property. The house was decorated and furnished to a very high standard. Located within easy walking distance of Whitby’s many attractions. Charlotte was a very friendly and most helpful host, explaining the Tourist Parking Cards and telling of her childhood memories of the house…her grandparents lived here!! Wonderful! Sylvia

The temperature of the shower in the bathroom was rather hot and we struggled to turn it down.

Farndale Cottage is in an unbeatable location in Whitby. It is a stone's throw from Skinner Street with all its little independent shops and the amazing Botham's bakery and you can easily get everywhere from the cottage. We walked up to the Abbey and also along the coast to Sandsend, no need to use the car at all. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, we felt at home straight away. The cottage has good quality cookware and crockery and we cooked meals for 6 on two evenings and had lunch 'at home' everyday because the cooking facilities were excellent. There is also a good fish and chip shop near by. The owner was very helpful and I always felt that she would be there if we had a problem. i would not hesitate to book again if we wanted to stay in Whitby.
