Alpha Lodge Madarao

Lovely people, and a great location close to bars and restaurants in town, but only 5 minutes walk (in ski gear) to the lifts.

We arrived early in the season (early January), and the lodge wasn't up and running properly, so the check in/check out processes were a bit loose (no one really knew what was going on, but it turned out fine) The major problem we had was the changing room to the female showers HAD NO DOOR. It was open to the corridor, and so was not private at all, and was cold and unusable.

オーストラリア人のオーナーと日本人のパートナーがとてもフレンドリーでした。建物が少し古く感じましたが、部屋が明るくてきれいに掃除されていて、ベッドの寝心地が良かったです。 The Australian owner and his Japanese partner were very friendly. The building felt a little old, but the room was bright, clean, and the bed was comfortable.

思いもかけず、丁度、ジャズバンドのミニコンサートが開かれており、それに参加して、その後のカラオケをする事になり、バンドマン達と大いに盛り上がる事が出来て大変楽しい思いをする事が出来た。また、是非行きたい。

一泊だけだったので、特に気が付かなかった。

Location was good and staff were friendly

Very expensive for a ski lodge. 80% of the toilets didn't work and the place is falling apart generally. Not worth the cost.

オーナー様ご夫妻は、お二人とも大変親しみ易く、心温まるおもてなしで私達夫婦を迎えて頂きました！ 4月は、私達の結婚記念日、28日は妻の誕生日。富山で単身赴任中の私は、久しぶりに休みが取れて、富山から新幹線、妻は東京からレンタカーで、飯山駅合流にて向かいました！オーストラリア出身のピーター（オーナー様）は、スキー指導員でギターも歌も素晴らしく上手！奥様も英語が堪能！夜は妻の誕生日をサプライズのケーキと生演奏でお祝いをして頂きました！ご近所のペンションオーナーのリサも一緒に夜通しのカラオケで盛り上がりました！妻の為の誕生日プランを持たずにきましたが、最高の誕生日プレゼントができました！有難うございます。 後、英会話を楽しみたい方には、最高の環境です！ ピーターは日本語と英語を話せますが、奥様が通訳しながら、ご近所のリサも一緒に英会話の練習もできました！ 夜ご飯も運が良ければ、ピーターのスペシャルカレーをオーダーできるかも！ 更に5/4は海外の方々が沢山集まってロビーで楽しい演奏会の企画が開催されますよ〜！

全くありません！ 今ピーターがDIYで改装を手がけておりますので、改装中のお部屋やトイレがありますが、全く気になりません！これから長期滞在者が利用し易くする為の、色々なお部屋を作る構想をお持ちで、これから何度でもお伺いしたと思ってしまいます！

Staff were fantastic. Super friendly and the included breakfast was exactly what we needed for our days snowboarding. So close to the town centre and top of the first lift.

Staff were extremely friendly, location was only about 5-8 minutes from resort depending on amount of snow/ice on ground. For the price compared to other places around the area, breakfast exceeds ALL expectations though this is from a western perspective.

Toilets weren't serviced very well, a number were out of order, no 'toilet slippers' (last time there were). Soap wasn't available in every toilet. Showers also aren't anything to scream about but not the worst. This is the main gripe and was the same last time visited. Notice there's no air conditioning so wonder what happens during summer (visited during winter/spring)
