OYO Ruby Pub & Hotel

The room was tiny. Having paper cups for coffee is unacceptable. The venue did not offer any food - but this was not made clear on their website. There was no storage space for clothes. Had the price been £50 it would have sent a warning message and it would have still been overpriced. This should not be on your website.

Stayed here a few times when these has been no other alternative. Does the job but it’s not very clean - it’s noisy from the pub below - and the staff are amongst the most unhelpful I’ve experienced. That said, there are worse places and if your just sleep and go for a night then it’s ok.

Room was filthy, dust, mould and dead bugs! Advertised as having a restaurant but on arrival were told 'we dont do food'. Mattress was ancient with springs coming through. We complained and were offered another room which was exactly the same. Ended up leaving and finding another hotel. Staff were not bothered at all when i said id be putting in a complaint and that we couldnt stay there. Barely even acknowledged us. Dont be fooled by the lovely photos!! They are definitely not recent!

Very nice place to say. Sound of the pub downstairs did affect comfort/sleeping. Courteous gentleman booked me in and offered advice on substitute places for a meal and the sights. Thanks sir.

Music coming from the pub below can be heard booming through the walls until after 11pm every night. Every door can be heard opening and closing and quests were arriving back after midnight and leaving at 3am. I did have a single decent sleep in the 4 nights i stayed. The TV doesnt work. No wardrobe, no tea or coffee was replenished at all over the 4 nights. 1 night a strong smell of marajuana was in the corridor. Very limited parking available on nearby streets. When punters left the pub they linger outside after 11pm and their conversations can easily be heard through the closed windows.

Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff

As a lone female I was escaping London for a couple of days. I felt safe and very comfortable, Brighton was accessible on the bus and not that far. The room was spot on, small but clean and sufficient for 1 person, the bathroom and shower were spot on. Thank you for a fantastic stay would 100% recommend.
