This is luxury embedded in nature. It is beautiful with a lovely pool and wild birds & animals around. The restaurant has the most amazing menu, outstanding quality, presentation & each recipe incorporates a local ingredient, such as fruit, tamarind, & fresh fish.

We never wanted to leave!

This is a very nice property located outside of San Ignacio. It’s meant to be more of a remote, jungle experience in nice little individual lodges. It is only about a 10 minute taxi to the center of town. If you are looking to be in walking distance then better to stay in town, but if looking for a hideaway this was a very nice spot!

Beautiful site, design, attention to details, integration of architecture into landscape. The cuisine was excellent as well.

A stay at Vanilla Hills Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. Right from the beginning, the communication with Claudia was smooth and easy, setting the tone for a welcoming experience. The organization, professionalism, and warm greeting upon arrival by the staff made us feel truly valued. The excellent hotel boasts a prime location. The cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The property's beauty and relaxing atmosphere were complemented by the outdoor dining room, offering a picturesque backdrop for delicious meals and birdwatching. The pool, overlooking the hills, provided a delightful space for both relaxation and fun. Our spacious room in the trees was beyond gorgeous and provided such an amazing retreat with fantastic views. The daily towel animal creations by housekeeping added a fun touch to our stay. The hospitality at Vanilla Hills Lodge is truly outstanding. Claudia and the team were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond by organizing all our transportation needs and two fabulous excursions to Tikal and the ATM cave. The staff added a personal touch to our trip by checking on us often and providing valuable advice on other local attractions, restaurants, and amenities. The overall experience was a true testament to the dedication of Claudia and the staff to providing exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend Vanilla Hills Lodge. We loved the quiet peaceful setting of the resort. The pool area, grounds and restaurant were all beautiful and well kept. We were very impressed and would love to return one day!

Vanilla Hills Lodge is absolutely beautiful. The food is definitely a big highlight. We were there for Christmas and enjoyed the 5 course meal prepared by the owner, chef, and staff. I highly recommend Vanilla Hills for a peaceful retreat while touring all that the region has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay at Vanilla Hills with our 4 children. We stayed at the villa. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us. The property was gorgeous with opportunities to see wildlife each morning, including Toucans and Coatis. We loved swimming in the pool and sitting on our porch. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant each day and the food was amazing and fairly priced! They had plenty of vegetarian options. All the staff at Vanilla Hilla were so kind and accommodating and willing to answer questions. We felt very comfortable and welcomed here. This place is really special!
