Ashansa Lagoon Resort

The property was in the perfect location to attend the Turtle Watch at the beach, with walking distance of 5 min to the beach itself. The area is quiet and I had the top room with stunning and peaceful view of the Rekawa lagoon. The hotel offers both western or Sri Lankan breakfast, and has dinner menus too. The area itself have some restaurants, so no need to travel into Tangalle for meals. Many of the hotels/restaurants are family owned by Sri Lankans from that specific area. Many of neighbouring hotels/restaurants are relatives with each other too. The area is so safe and welcoming for tourists as families and solo travellers. I stayed there two nights, where I attended the Turtle Watch one day, and did biking and kayaking the other day. The hotel staff was also helpful with organising a guide for the kayaking, and helped me for my further travels with bus.

Great place with huge bedrooms and a comfy swimming pool. Close to the beach. Breakfast was so far the best we had in a hotel in Sri Lanka. A bit pricy but worth the money

Большая и зеленая территория на берегу лагуны. Кусочек джунглей. Из всех номеров вид на озеро. Очень чисто в номерах и на балконах, территорию постоянно подметают. Ощущение как у бабушки в деревне, только по двору ходят павлины. Другая живность тоже присутствует: белочки, мангусты и ящерки, обезьянки скачут по деревьям. Номера в традиционном ланкийском стиле. Площадь номеров огромная. Вкусные и объемные местные завтраки (блинчики, тосты, фрукты, омлет и яичница, фрукты). Большие порции в ресторане. Сотрудники порекомендуют, что можно выбрать на ужин, а также можно сказать, чего хотелось бы, и это привезут. Сотрудники могут помочь с организацией досуга, но делают это ненавязчиво. Обязательно стоит посмотреть, как морские черепахи откладывают яйца (до пляжа на берегу океана идти 5-6 минут). Можно взять на прокат каяк и велосипеды.

Amazing find! The place has amazing rooms which are huge, have a massive balcony and are spotlessly clean. The pool, shaded by palm trees and overlooking the lagoon is beautiful! Beach is only a few minutes walk and is very quiet where you can see giant turtles. The food is delicious and the staff are amazing and so helpful! initially booked for 4 nights, stayed for 9!

We stayed at the accommodation for 11 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are very spacious, and the host is extremely dedicated, friendly, and helpful. Even though the location looks a bit remote on the map, it’s easy to get to the town or various beaches quickly. The dogs at the property are very cute. We used the pool very often. The coconuts come straight from the garden. The host arranged two scooters for us. There is a good laundry service. I would definitely book this accommodation again 👍🏽

Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen mit wunderschönem Blick auf die Lagune. Im Garten tummeln sich Pfauen und Affen und der Hotel Manager Lakshitha pflückt auch gerne mal eine Kokosnuss um sie frisch zum Pool zu bringen. Das normale Frühstück ist Kontinental mit Früchten, Eiern, Toast und Marmelade. Da uns das zu langweilig war haben wir statt Toastbrot nach senegalesischem Frühstück gefragt und es auch bekommen. Hat viel besser geschmeckt und zur Stimmung auf der Terrasse gepasst. Auch hier hat Lakshitha alles getan um unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Er ist einfach die gute Seele des Resorts und steht immer für alle Belange zur Verfügung. 2 Tage vor dem Check Out ist leider ein Badeunfall passiert und meine Frau kam mit gebrochenem Oberarm ins Krankenhaus in Matara. Einen Tag nach der OP kam Lakshitha ins Krankenhaus um zu schauen wie es uns geht. So eine nette Geste ist überwältigend und hat uns noch mal sein fürsorgliches Wesen bestätigt. Wir haben uns rundum hervorragend aufgehoben gefühlt.

Superbe! Endroit magnifique au bord de la lagune, kayak disponible. Très grandes chambres en parfait état, grande salle de bain. Plage sauvage à 5mn. Personnel toujours disponible et au petits soins. Belle grande piscine. Petit déjeuner excellent. Nous étions en demi-pension ; le premier repas du soir étant un peu décevant, nous avons par la suite apporté fruits de mer et poissons depuis la ville et il nous ont été parfaitement et gentiment cuisinés à l'hôtel. Location d'un scooter sur place sans caution. Vélos disponibles.

Super freundlicher und zurückhaltender Gastgeber. Gute Speisen , sauberer Pool und sauberes Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht.

Le personnel était au petit soin, très gentil et à l’ecoute pour le petit déjeuner ou le repas du soir si nous voulions manger sur place. L’établissement était très calme avec la lagune à côté et l’océan de l’autre , un véritable havre de paix !

Nous ne pensions pas que le lieu était aussi loin de Tangalle, mais la gentillesse du personnel et le calme de l’endroit a largement compensé !

Всё было очень круто, райский уголок, особое спасибо управляющему, незамедлительно реагировал на все просьбы, локация идеальная для спокойного отдыха, тишина, природа, много зверушек вокруг, очень рекомендую!!!
