The Station Guest House

Excellent breakfast, very friendly staff, nice quiet room, decent hot water, all very clean, comfortable bed

We would have liked an arm chair in the room ---- we only had one upright chair.

An excellent welcome by lovely staff. Plenty of choice for breakfast and ample tea/coffee/biscuits in our room. The guest house was right on the station but trains were not too frequent and very quiet. Also on the river Debden so lovely walks right outside the door,

Room was very clean but bathroom really small and nowhere to put your toiletries. Very good shower but the worse squeaky bathroom floor ever! As usual in most hotels only one chair in the room so not great if you wanted to stay in. But overall a nice basic little hotel, not boutique, but just felt nice to stay in.

The only tiny thing waa that the thermostat display on the heater was v bright/ a bit distracting when I waa trying to sleep
