Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort

I had a terrible experience at this sheraton hotel and i am severely disappointed. The food served for the lunch and dinner buffets were absolutely terrible. I stayed for two night and noticed that the food was always bland and flavorless with a very limited variety. I did enjoy the food received from the a la carte-though even that had a limited selection of food. To be honest, I didn’t have any problems with the room and it was very comfortable, except for the bath tub that was too narrow for my liking. Pradeep who acted as my room service was an exceptionally kind person and he was very helpful. There were also two employees at the restaurant that I found to be both kind and helpful, their names were Kalindu and Raveen. My guide, Ms. Manugi was also a very nice person and she was very helpful. The staff were very kind and helpful(probably the only reason to visit the hotel). However, i did find the room floor to be dusty and required a bit more maintenance. There was an issue with the shower where water would come out of the bottom shower instead of the ceiling shower. But i do want to emphasize how the staff were very helpful. However, the hotel could do well under better management.

Great experience at this hotel, nice places and views arround. There was a very nice boy at the bar, Kasun, who was so helpfull and suportive with our group.

The place is fabulous! The services are great! A great variety of food . The staff is very welcoming, kind and always at your service. We were very impressed by the presence and how well served we were by Kasun , a young man who works at the pool bar. A person with great positive energy. We definitly enjoyed our staying and highly recomend the services of the hotek

We had a wonderful 3-night family stay at Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort during the April New Year holidays. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and the level of service extended throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everything was handled beautifully, with a great welcome and a smooth, efficient check-in process. We stayed in partial sea view rooms, which were spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing and peaceful stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job throughout, ensuring everything remained clean and comfortable. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from all staff members—across reservations, guest relations, restaurants, and housekeeping. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable. On our first day, we had lunch at Olive Restaurant at Sheraton Kosgoda, located by the pool. The setting was lovely, and the menu offered a great variety of seafood along with Western and Asian dishes. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. For breakfast and dinner, we dined at the hotel’s main restaurant, which serves buffet-style meals. The buffet had a fantastic spread, including a wide selection of meats such as pork, lamb, and beef, as well as fresh seafood, along with Sri Lankan, Indian, and Western cuisine. There was something for everyone, and the quality was consistently high. Overall, it was a memorable and relaxing holiday for our family. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the future.

One of the bests stays in 2026 !!! 10 / 10 on everything

We visited this hotel twice in 2025. Had a good experience both times. Only downside is that the buffet restaurant cannot really accommodate the crowd and gets overpacked very fast. Also dinner buffet is not on par with other 5* resorts, variety needs to be improved. Also, special mention to one of the staff, who provided a room when I asked for a space to nurse my 7 month old, even though it was way past checkout time.

It was a calming, beautiful, serene experience. The hotel was a nice getaway place and food was delicious and well presented. The staff was very friendly, specially Manugi, who was so refreshing and helpful with her heartwarming service. The beach was an absolute dream as well. Loved it!!!

Our stay at Sheraton Kosgoda was truly wonderful and memorable in every way. The property itself is absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, well-maintained, and perfectly located with breathtaking views of both the pool and the beach. Having direct beach access made the experience even more special, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service we received, especially from Mithuli. She went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed, and we are incredibly grateful for the care she showed towards our family. Traveling with a one-year-old can be challenging, but Mithuli ensured all our baby’s meal requirements were taken care of with such attention and kindness, which made a huge difference to our comfort. We also had an amazing dining experience at the Olive restaurant—the pizza there was absolutely delicious and definitely something we would recommend to anyone staying at the property. The pool area was fantastic, offering a perfect place to unwind while enjoying the ocean view. Everything about the environment felt relaxing and luxurious. A special thank you as well for the suite upgrade—it made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, we had an incredible experience and would highly recommend Sheraton Kosgoda to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway.
