Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort

We stayed 7 wonderful days at Sheraton Kosgoda, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. We really enjoyed every moment of our stay, and the hospitality made it even more special. A special thank you to Mr. Edrian from the restaurant and Chef Chathushka from the kitchen for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They took such great care of us and were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. One of the highlights of our stay was when they helped us prepare our traditional Uzbek plov. The cooking session was a unique and unforgettable experience, and we truly enjoyed every moment of it. Their willingness to accommodate our requests and share this experience with us meant so much. The entire team at S Kitchen is absolutely incredible—friendly, professional, and always welcoming. Their service and warm smiles made us feel at home. We had a fantastic time and created beautiful memories at Sheraton Kosgoda. We will definitely come back again and will recommend this hotel to our friends without hesitation. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

We had a very good stay here even though it was for one night during our road trip in Sri Lanka. The resort is very nice with spacious rooms and a really large swimming pool. The service is excellent, and everyone tries to go above and beyond. The beach is right behind the property, although it is rocky in places so swimming is hard. Lot of variety in the Breakfast!!

Delightful stay. Must convey that they really look after each family personally. Chef Salivia was extremely kind and thoughtful for our family during the stay. Highly recommend that when you tmstay here, let them know your preferences and they’ll make it happen!

This was not the experience one would expect from a Sheraton property. We reached the hotel around 3:30 PM, even though the official check-in time is 3:00 PM, but our rooms were allotted only after 4:00 PM. The check-in process was extremely slow and inefficient. I had specifically requested a higher-floor room and was initially happy to be told that rooms had been assigned on the 5th floor. However, after waiting for some time, we were informed that those rooms were not ready, and we were instead moved to the 3rd floor. To make it worse, the room allotted was one of the farthest from the ocean, which felt like a clear downgrade from what was originally communicated. To add to the poor first impression, construction work was going on at the ground floor, which meant there was no peace or sense of arrival that you’d expect from a luxury resort. Our luggage did not reach the room even by 4:30 PM. Despite calling the staff, it took another 20 minutes, and instead of bringing our luggage from the lobby, someone came to pick up luggage from our room, which made no sense at all. I had to explicitly explain that the luggage was still downstairs. The level of confusion and incompetence at this point was quite disappointing. At 5:45 PM, when we went to the pool, we were told that pool towels had run out, something that is unacceptable for a resort of this category. Towels arrived only about 15 minutes later. Day 1 dinner was another miss. Since we weren’t very hungry, we ordered ala carte from SKitchen instead of the buffet. The staff forgot our order entirely, and even after a couple of reminders, the food arrived nearly an hour after placing the order. To their credit, the team acknowledged the issue and ensured that this did not repeat over the next two days. On the positive side, the staff were generally courteous. A special mention to Ifra from Hatchlings (kids’ club) — she was wonderful, and the kids genuinely enjoyed their time there. There were also smaller but telling lapses: 1. One of the room key cards was taken by the housekeeping staff (possibly by mistake). 2. During checkout, they forgot to charge one of the breakfast costs. While I did make the payment online later, it again reflected a casual and careless approach to basic processes. Overall, while the property itself has potential and some staff members do try hard, the operational inefficiencies, inconsistent communication, and lack of attention to detail made this stay fall well below Sheraton standards. I hope the management takes these issues seriously, as this experience was far from what one expects when booking a premium international brand.

We ate here 5 straight days even though we were staying in a hotel next door. Chef Chatushka was cooking us Sri Lankan curries each day! Delicious. If you are around these parts do go for a fine culinary experience. Thanks to Chef Chatushka Chef Ramesh Madhav Sanjan Rasika Their warm hospitality made our visits really nice.

Great staff, very polite and accomodating, gave us late checkout. Comfortable beds, good property, breakfast is great.

It says beach property, however its not entirely true. The property has access to and is by the beach, but its not a private beach space, property does not have any lounge chairs by the beach (generally beach properties have this) You can rent it from the shop at the beach for $5-10/day. However since it's not a very popular beach its not crowded. We ended up spending most of our time in the restaurant next to it, right on the beach (Yatra)

I was there for a business conference for a few days and loved the place so much that I extended my stay for one week and worked remotely from there. The hotel is on a quiet beach with beautiful waves and views of the Indian Ocean with a very large and clean swimming pool which is never crowded. A bar and restaurant next to the pool served delicious cocktails, and food The main restaurant has a wide variety of food, which is very tasty and serves dishes for all tastes. I had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily with some new dishes every day. The smiling hostesses seatyou and everybody serves with a smile. Rooms are very comfortable with some having good views of the ocean Wi-Fi is good and easily available in all areas even by the pool side The spa has very modern and comfortable rooms with some skilled therapists like Yamuna The best thing is that the staff is very caring, always smiling and catering to all requirements of guests. Hats off to the General manager, Mr Mano and his team for making the guests feel so special. I will surely be back again.
