Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort

I was highly satisfied with the cleanliness and consistent attentiveness of the housekeeping staff. I must specially appreciate Mr. Chalana, who is an outstanding employee. He was committed and his smile and warmth behavior made a significant impact during our stay. Really love the flowers he brought to our room！

Great atmosphere, excellent food options, fun cocktails. We have visited numerous Bonvoy properties in Europe and Asia and the Kosgoda staff were super friendly. Also had great massages with Thasitha de Silva!!

This property is one of the best Sheraton brands I have stayed at. We arrived here late at night after driving for 5 hours or more from Horton Plains through heavy rains. The wait staff at the bell desk greeted us with a warm smile . The reception staff are just a joy to deal with. The front office manager and the assistant front office manager were delightful, friendly and extremely service oriented. They were ever willing to make our stay a memorable one. From the bellman to the server, top notch service with the famous “Sri Lankan smile”. We were fortunate enough to meet the General Manager and oh boy ! What an awesome gentleman. His charm, charisma, personality and sincerity and professionalism is unmatched. He was gracious enough to introduce the executive Chef who indeed served the most delicious food in the resort. Thank you to all of you for all the yummy Sri Lankan treats, greatest customer service and above all making our stay such an awesome experience. We are taking beautiful memories of you and the resort back home to Canada. You will always and forever stay in our heart.

It’s a superb hotel in the south of Sri Lanka and seems performing up to the standards. Hotel rooms are clean and staff respond immediately for your requirements. Gym, pool bar. Kids area is good. They have a good buffet at their restaurant, how ever striking feature to me is that it did not have any beef or pork dish up to now ( 3 main meels excluding the breakfast). That means this hotel is not for the beef or pork lovers 😜. ( how ever one of the chefs has provided me with beef steak individually , it was really nice of them) . Finally , it’s a very good hotel to stay.

I choosed between going to Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Eventually I went to Sheraton Kosgoda, I liked the hotel for its peaceful and quiet atmosphere, 1st line to the ocean, not a big resort so everything is quite near, we had a beautiful room with a plunge pool, fitness center was good. Thanks for the hotel staff, especially a kind person in the bar near the pool area named Kasum (photo attached) for good shisha and other things. Fast and perfect service.

This was our second visit to Sheraton Kosgoda - we returned because of the incredible experience we had in 2024. We spent two nights celebrating our son’s birthday, and it was truly memorable. The resort offers fantastic amenities, a beautiful pool, and a stunning beach, while the food was absolutely delicious. What makes Sheraton Kosgoda exceptional is its staff, the best we’ve encountered at any Marriott property. Special thanks to Sathya, who went above and beyond by decorating our room and creating a handmade birthday card, and Dharshi, who organized a lovely birthday celebration with a cake. Their warmth and attention to detail made us feel so special. We loved every moment and are already looking forward to returning next year for our third stay!

The staff is courteous, and the facilities are satisfactory; however, the room amenities, particularly the bathroom and wardrobe, are in need of renovation. The buffet food is lacking in both variety and quality, as some selections were offered for four consecutive meal services (lunch and dinner) with only slight modifications. The cuisine is predominantly tasteless and of poor quality, with the chefs at the action stations appearing disheartened and discussing their potential move to newly opened hotels. The food was either overcooked or undercooked, necessitating multiple reminders regarding our orders, as they frequently forgot our requests even in our presence. Several items on the buffet were undercooked, while others were stale, which was duly reported to the chefs and waitstaff. The pool required thorough cleaning due to the presence of algae growth. Similarly, the bathing area in the room washrooms appeared old and unclean, possibly due to the color of the interior tiles. There were paint marks throughout the room, indicative of low-quality touch-ups, and the sofa bore stains. The wardrobe handles were rough, and I even sustained a cut on my finger due to the sharp edges and absence of proper handles. In summary, this Marriott urgently requires significant improvements in food quality, room conditions, and outdoor amenities, or it should reconsider its association with the Marriott name!
