Yala Golden Wild

Sehr großes, geräumiges und sauberes Zimmer mit Balkon. Ausgestattet mit Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und Kaffee-/Teezubehör. Schöner großer Pool, der mehrmals am Tag gereinigt wurde, da durch den Wind immer wieder Pflanzenreste im Wasser lagen. Sehr nettes Personal. Es wurde ein wunderbares Frühstück serviert und es wird auch sehr leckeres Abendessen angeboten.

Das Zimmer war etwas düster, da neben dunklen Möbeln und Boden rundum noch schwere dunkle Vorhänge angebracht waren.

Lage für einen Trip in den Yala-Nationalpark sehr gut. Das kleine Hotel hat einen eigenen Jeep, so dass man vom Hotel aus losfahren kann. Tip: nur den Jeep im Hotel bezahlen und das Eingangsticket am Eingang zum Park kaufen; ist dann etwas günstiger.

Die Speisekarte ist zu groß, die Portionen zu klein und die Preise dafür sind auch bezüglich der Qualität nicht angemessen. Das Hotel hat kein Restaurant, aber man kann etwas dort essen. Der Pool ist schön - aber Achtung: die Kreamik-Platten der Treppe, die in den Pool führt, sind spiegelglatt und man muss extrem aufpassen, dass man nicht ausrutscht.

Lovely quiet place with friendly staff and nice pool. The bedroom was the biggest we had throughout our Sri Lanka trip with four large beds. Great value for money with fantastic food. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the food, which was delicious and clean. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and pool were very clean and were equipped with all the facilities. It was really a good value for money. The staff went out of the way to fulfil our requirements.

The safari that was arranged was a little too expensive, and it felt like we didn't get the full value for the money spent.

Helpful staff. Lovely pool

This is a great place to stay just out of Tissamaharama. We enjoyed a nice bike ride to the different buddist temples and round the lake. We also watched the fruit bats come alive at sunset which was fun. Our host arranged our safari to Yala. The park was a bit disappointing as there are a lot of jeeps and its very busy, but this is not the hosts fault! The pool was fab to chill out in after safari:) Our hotel organised packed breakfast, bikes, safari , our laundry and onward transfer to Ella. The breakfast was also fantastic! Thanks for a lovely stay !

Our family room was lovely and large. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. The included breakfast was great - American style pancake and waffles with omelettes, sausages and fruit. We did have lunch and dinner here which was also tasty. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

The restaurant food was a little pricey.
