Yala Golden Wild

I thought that the accomodation was very good in that it was a very clean establishment. Also the WI-FI coverage was excellent. In turn I ate there most nights & the menu selection was quite wide & the resultant food was always very tasty. Also the pool was very clean & well maintained. Finally the manager - whose name I have forgotten unfortunately - was consistently helpful & cooperative. OK.

There was nothing that I really disliked.

Very nice people, great breakfast. Very nice and clean pool, they help you put the beds in the sun. Arranged a good safari to Yala for us.

Little bit out of the center, but easy to do with tuk tuk. Very quick response via pick me.

Het personeel is zeer aardig en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn ruim. Het zwembad is heerlijk. Een safari naar Yala is bij het hotel te regelen.

De locatie is niet bijzonder, maar ok. Je komt hier voor een safari naar Yala.

Riesiges Zimmer, sehr hell, großer Kühlschrank. Gutes Frühstück.

Personal/Manager ziemlich unzuverlässig. Zimmer hätte sauberer sein können. Essen, Wäsche und Raum zu teuer.

Perfect place to stay for two nights if you are doing the safari. Very helpful staff who booked our safari and transport to Ella the next day.

We spent three nights here and had such a wonderful time. Kasun and Geethika were great hosts; friendly, chatty, and helpful. Nothing was too much for them and Kasun was very happy to get tonic for my wife which we really appreciated. They arranged a safari to Yala National Park which ended up just the two of us; it was wonderful with elephants and a leopard seen. They can arrange taxis and washing. The evening meals are freshly cooked and very tasty and made with little or no spice to suit our taste. The hotel is very clean and tidy and Kasun and Geethika take great pride in this. There was no signs of the wear and tear we have seen in other, more expensive places. The pool is lovely, cooling, and clean with areas of shade and those for sun loungers. The breakfast was really nice and included fresh fruit, toast and omelettes that were just lovely. We had a large double room that was spacious. The bed was two medium sized double beds put together which was amazingly comfortable. The aircon was great, the shower had multiple options and there is a covered seating area outside for relaxing. We have no hesitation recommend this and providing a high rating as we would definitely come back if returning to Sri Lanka.
