The Drumbeg Hotel

What a lovely place. The owners are a delight. The food was superb. The take away breakfast was delicious and more than sufficient and an unexpected treat as we had to leave early to catch a ferry. The road to the hotel provides amazing scenery but is treacherous so drive with care. We would highly recommend!

Lovely small hotel with homely atmosphere

A fab little hotel really close to the Summer `Isles and the north west coast. The hotel is run by possibly the nicest people in the world! It was clean, comfortable, the food was good. No complaints at all. Highly recommend.

Came ashore after a long day sail from Outer Hebrides wanting a pint and a meal only to discover the hotel shut in high season due to covid restrictions. Very sad / very frustrating and very hungry! Not sure why covid is still impacting the business unless they cannot get staff. A notice explaining why the hotel is shut would have been appropriate.

Very comfortable and clean hotel. Fiona and Richard are very friendly and welcoming. Nice room with armchairs which came in very useful to come back to after being out in the rain and gales. Lovely newly decorated bathroom with good shower. Smashing home cooking we stayed 2 nights. Can recommend the salmon parcels and blade of beef both delicious. The traditional porridge is a must to try brilliant scrambled eggs and salmon one day and traditional Scottish the next. All food freshly cooked very generous portions for all meals. Would definitely recommend it. Thank you for a lovely stay

We stayed at the Drumbeg Hotel for two nights during our tour of Scotland and the Orkneys. It was in a lovely quiet location overlooking a small loch and Richard & Fiona looked after us really well. They were very friendly and welcoming and Fiona is a great cook providing tasty home-cooked food. Fiona's Beef pie was so tasty, I ate it two nights running! We would definitely recommend the Drumbeg Hotel and stay there again if we are in the area. Thank you Richard & Fiona x

Since my last visit the whole of the downstairs has been given a makeover. And having an important video call I was hugely relieved to be able to use the excellent wifi. It was the most stunning day and the road from Lochinver to Drumbeg is breathtaking. The viewpoint at Drumbeg then gives another stunning outlook. And the lovely cosy dining room at the hotel looks over the little loch. I'm very grateful to Fiona and her husband for their generous hospitality again.

A real gem of a hideaway in this northwest corner of Scotland on the NC500. Very friendly hosts. We had a very comfortable and spacious room upstairs in the extension. Breakfasts and evening meals were very tasty and well cooked and presented. Highly recommended.

Our one night stay in the Drumbeg hotel was a real easure. The ow ers go out of their way to make you feel at home. Home cooked dinner and breakfast are superb. The Venison cooked in redcurrant jelly was excellent. A great place to stay on the NC500

Great stop on the NC500. Very comfortable rooms and excellent choice of breakfast and dinner. We sat in the restaurant overlooking the loch watching the deer in the evening. It was quite perfect.
