The Drumbeg Hotel

A gorgeous welcoming hotel, owners so friendly. And delicious food!

We booked the Drumbeg for one night as we needed a dog friendly place to stay. Check in was at four o'clock and we arrived on time. We were greeted by Fiona who was pleasant and polite and showed us to our room. We had a twin room with a view of the courtyard with pots of plants. The room was small and themed to a highland scene and was perfectly acceptable. There was a bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and sink. There was a television, a small hospitality tray and fresh milk was available on request. The lounge and dining room were lovely and looked as though they had been recently decorated. The bar was well stocked although the pumps were broken at the time. We met Richard who was very amenable and knowledgeable about his stock. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were very acceptable, the breakfast especially being very nice. We enjoyed our stay at the Drumbeg and the only downside were the beds were very soft so we did not sleep that well as we are used to much firmer beds. Thank you Fiona and Richard

The Hotel is being slowly refurbished, but non the less we would whole heartedly recommend a stay there, scenery wonderful, the food good and the staff fantastic and very knowledgeable on local wildlife and visits.

Beautiful view point within walking distance. Difficult drive down 8 miles single track road with plenty of passing places.

A lovely stay as this homely hotel. Room was cosy and uniquely decorated. Service was good and food was lovely. A slower pace for our over night stay with a friendly warm welcome from the owner. Lovely bar and entrance area and other guests were very friendly. Road in and out (20plus miles) was very narrow
