The Drumbeg Hotel

Beautiful place. Room was lovely decorated and so peaceful. The food was amazing. Was made to feel very welcomed.

Food was not up to a exceptable standard

My friend and I were fortunate enough to get a dinner booking, thanks to Richard and Fiona’s generosity. I had the venison casserole and my friend had the salmon. The venison was succulent and tender served with carrots, cabbage and mash. It was delicious. My friend thought the salmon was excellent. It was accompanied by potatoes, broccoli and samphire. He’d never tasted samphire previously and he said it was very nice. We had pre-meal drinks in the well stocked bar. There is an excellent selection of whiskies, gin, vodka and other spirits. Richard is an excellent, genial, hospitable host who is very knowledgeable about the local area passing on that information to all those who visit the hotel and bar. I’ve visited this hotel and bar for many years and have always found Fiona and Richard welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend a visit to the Drumbeg Hotel to all those travelling on the NC500.

Lovely hotel with great views, warm and comfortable rooms and great food (breakfast and dinner). Loved our one night stopover and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, recommended

Amazing location, fabulous food and such friendly owners!

A very friendly and helpful welcome from Richard. The choices on the evening meal and breakfast menus were excellent, including vegetarian options. Unlike many restaurants, the vegetables came with the main course options and not priced separately . To drink with the evening meal , orkney stout was recommended and was delicious.

Friendly mom & pop operation. Decent food. Nice, quiet location. Rooms are nice and clean, if not exactly luxurious.

Lovely Welcome, good food, friendly personal service. Pleasant views from Lounge and dining room. Rooms clean but a little tired. Venison very tasty , well cooked breakfast Interesting Drive to get there. Would visit again. Good Value for money.
