Tenants in room directly above my room a bit noisy.

1. The shower was excellent (not a 'power shower' thank goodness as they waste water) - this is one of the best I've ever used. Well done! 2 Good explanation re security keys. 3 Reasonable value for money 4 Manager v reassuring on phone when I checked payment request the day before arrival - having been asked on line to pay up front, & he reassured it was a scam!

2. I never choose cooked breakfast so the Tues am continental breakfast tray by bedroom door (due no catering staff on Tuesday) suited me well - except that I would have preferred included a real fruit item eg citrus or banana as cost was the same) . The Wed am breakfast (in so-called restaurant) could have been served to we two who arrived on time (as hotel directed) at 9 am ...our booking said we had to leave hotel by 10 am. Other two guests didn't arrive until 09.30! They all chose cooked breakfast & to my surprise we were all served together. The hosts could have asked us if we wished to be served together. Thus mine eaten in a rush! - I had a train to catch!! I made it. Again, real fruit would be a good inclusion in uncooked breakfast being the same price as selection of cooked items.

No issues

The food was good and reasonably priced. Breakfast choice was very good and cooled well for you so this aspect was very good.

Unfortunately the room was bad. The walls and floor are so thin we could hear everything in the bar which was very loud until 2200 but we could easily hear talking until gone 2300 so sleep was not possible until after that time. It was a standard double bed which these days seems extremely small. There were tea making facilities in the room BUT there were no bedside tables so one could not sit up in bed for a tea or coffee. Also there was only one chair so only one person could siit down to drink their tea. The window ledge is very low, not a problem normally, but it meant we had to sit onbthe floor to drink our tea and put the cups on the lowcwindow ledge. As the main reason to stop anywhere is to sleep in our view this was not acceptable.

Location in the village of Tarvin excellent for restaurants, grocery shops, pharmacy. Main bus route to Chester, Crewe and Nantwich. Choice of cooked breakfast very good, although portion sizes could be reduced. Gluten free request well catered for. Car park offered secure parking. Kenny and Kathy were excellent hosts and bar staff friendly and efficient.
