Klopfenstein Inn and Suites

Nice enough-not dirty. No over night staff. Pretty run down and attempts to modernize just didn't cut it for me. I thought the parking lot was dark and I didn't feel real comfortable there. All things considered I Won't consider it again.

Love it...we stay there 4 times a year for 25 years plus ! Friendly, clean, cozy! The staff is excellent when you need anything. 24 hour coffee machine, continental breakfast, newspaper and tv in common area.

My boyfriend stays here well he is doing work in the area and has for months now. So every now and then I come to visit him and when I do the staff is always so welcoming they make you feel like family. The hotel is always clean and the rooms are nicely kept. If you ever need anything the staff is quick to make sure you have it. Thank you so much. It's most definitely a pleasure to stay at your hotel!!!

This hotel has been a mainstay in Fort WAYNE for many years...I come into town and need a place that is well run and clean...Kami , and the whole Klopfenstein family do a fine job . Family owned and run. Rooms are a little older in style , but nice...Good supply of hot water at all times...Please note this is a smaller hotel and has a limited front desk operating hours, but a phone is provided when the desk is closed to gain service for check inn or emergency needs.

I stayed at this hotel only due to fact the reservation was made for me. The microwave had food particles in it. When I went to check out, the front desk stated that we werrnt even checked in and had to call the manager to verify how much we owed. I was told, originally, that we would not be charged for one of the nites, due to a horrible snow storm that caused us to stay at another hotel since we could not make it to ft wayne til the morning, and then we checked we were charged. I didnt appreciate being lied to. Will NEVER go back, and will stick to a reputable hotel chain.

Clean,comfortable, friendly, good location, very affordable. What more can a traveler want. Would have rated higher but breakfast was minimal but with the savings you can go out to a breakfast. Not 5 star but would come back any time I'm in the area and would not hesitate to let people know about this great value. Geocache in the back parking lot as a bonus.

I come from a very large family, so needless to say, when we all get together and travel we sort of resemble a small circus! We had to be in Fort Wayne a few months ago,and honestly, we could not have found a more accommodating and understanding staff than the wonderful people at the Klopfenstein Inn. With several adjustments to our room arrangements, large groups of our clan gathered regularly in the lobby area, and a bundle of hyper,playful kids running about I wouldn't blame the staff and other hotel guests if they were relieved to see us go! But instead, all we received were welcoming smiles and above and beyond friendly service. And the manager Kami has made me a loyal customer of the Klopfenstein Inn from here on! She was absolutely wonderful! Thank you SO MUCH for everything Kami!! The rooms were comfortable and clean and the complimentary breakfast was great! And the complimentary Carousel was such a nice bonus for all our little ones. They LOVED it!! I will definitely be staying at the Klopfenstein again!!

This is the first review that I have ever written anywhere, but felt I needed to do so. This Inn is wonderful! We had to be in Fort Wayne for the funeral of my dear Grandma and we simply couldn't have chosen a better place. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, waffles etc..for breakfast made to order by the manager, a bonus- adjoining furniture store and complimentary carousel rides for kids, and some other fascinating extras! The manager Kami couldn't have been more helpful! She was sensitive to our every need and very caring. We had to make many changes regarding our group of rooms and needed to use the printer and took over the lobby many times, but she was not even slightly irritated with us! Instead, she recommended a pizza place for our gathering and even opened brand new complimentary board games for our family to enjoy! Kami, you have no idea how much we appreciated all that you did! You are super sweet and we are so grateful. You and the accommodations at your Inn allowed us to have the best possible weekend under our sad circumstances. Thank you so much! We will definitely be returning, we could hardly get our kids off of the Carousel! What a unique and fun place! Thanks and Keep up the great work! Susie

Klopfenstein Inn is a locally owned and operated Hotel. Not your standard chain, and/or franchises. There is no online check-in or kiosk available for quick access, as would otherwise be offered to frequent guests and professional business entities. Upon arriving at the Hotel, the location was excellent with ample parking spaces. However, there was very limited handicap accessible spaces. Access is friendly to wheel chairs and luggage carts. Well situated, with easy access to a major interstate. Also, is easily to egress from/to the Hotel, to major grocery stores, restaurants, theaters, and major shopping centers from within a two mile travel distance. The staff was very courteous and helpful during check-in and check-out. The front desk is open from 6 am thru 10 pm, and provides an after hours call number for any issues that may arise. First impression, the carpets were very dirty and the lobby area windows were streaked with imprints. Room atmosphere was warm with accents of pictures and dated furniture. Not to mention, the bathroom needed some attention of grout to floors and showers. Certainly, a little extra care to remove the dust bunnies from the surface of appliances and furniture would be well advised. The Hotel advertises a deluxe continental breakfast. I was very disappointed as boxed cereal, bagels, oatmeal, and fruit, is not a deluxe continental breakfast. Plus, the breakfast room needs attention to cleanliness of counter tops, and the use of professional cleaning to carpets. Regularly, the staff should monitor the area, for debris and refuse, as I had to inform guest services the area needed cleaned. Large television and internet was located within the breakfast room. Local newspaper was provided to the guests, but there was only one paper for the entire Hotel. WiFi with free access is provided to all guests, with laptops and other connectable gadgetry. Connection speeds were average. Be prepared for frequent interrupted signal loss. Other amenities within the Hotel, include half basketball court, beauty salon, conference room, game room, self serve laundry, tanning facility, and outdoor large size swimming pool. Basketball backboard was broken, and I did not permit my children to swim, due the unsafe surface of the concrete. There was a high degree for the potential of severe cuts, resulting from broken and jagged edges of the walkways. Other amenities were acceptable, and fun to enjoy. There is no valet service, however, within a short commute exits a great dry cleaner. Overall my experience was great. The price was very competitive. I believe with some facade attention, and a thorough regimen of cleaning, this would be an excellent Hotel. Furthermore, if your going to advertise a deluxe continental breakfast, then by all means serve a "deluxe continental breakfast."

I stayed overnight because I had power outage, Room was clean, shower clean, had a microwave hairdryer nice tv, outdoor pool, super staff and very cheap rates. the continental breakfast was ok, but plenty of it. I would stay again. Wolf matresses and fluffy pillows. Air was cold, room was quiet.
