Rock House Cottage

Nice location in a peaceful woody area. Friendly host. Lots of facilities with everything you could imagine available. Well heated. Charming building with so much character. Wild deer might pass by.

Hard to drive to with very narrow roads but that was a part of the charm. The real disappointment was that the building in the photo is actually an annex to an attached bigger house where the host lives. So you don't have the privacy and seclusion the photos suggest. The main photo is also old as the host has grown the hedges so much that it blocked off views and felt cramped. Soft beds. Still worth booking but hopefully this helps inform your decision.

Beautiful location, so peaceful and the views were outstanding. A nature lovers dream

The cottage is totally adorable. It's in a great location. We got given bread, butter, milk, jam and honey. There was also shampoo and shower gel. Dishwashing liquid and tea towels are provided. There is a microwave, oven, and toaster - so complete kitchen with all the cutlery and cooking utensils. There is also a scullery with washing machine. All the facilities are there so you don't need to pack anything but your clothes and make up. The shower is out of this world. The host is delightful. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The beds are nice and cosy and the cottage is warm.

There are two small steps upstairs between smaller bedroom and bathroom that do not have a rail to hold onto - so a bit difficult for mobility impaired people. The stairs are standard English stairs but also not so great for mobility impairment but nothing to write home about - just informing people who may have stair issues.
