The Bull Hotel

I had a pleasant first night at The Bull and a lovely breakfast. However the second night I stayed it rained heavily all night. The guttering opposite my room was blocked with moss as well as the roofing about being damaged resulting in the very loud sound similar to a running tap. I got very little sleep ahead of an exam followed by a 7 hour drive home. Having passed the info and pictures on I was told sorry and will pass onto the manager. Had thought there may be a need for some compensation since the main part of a hotel room is a sound sleep, especially ahead of an important day. I had mentioned to them i would hope to stay again when returning to the area but now not sure I will.

Lovely traditional pub, good friendly welcome, great food & choice of menu, clean comfortable room & a nice pub garden. Recommend

Lovely establishment! Food was delicious. We added breakfast for 15 pounds a person and it was SO good!! Room was very comfy but some items did look dated/in need of upkeep. Rain shower was incredible. Bed was super comfy. Customer service was amazing as well.

Hotel is in a great central location for Fairford and the pub itself is very much in keeping with the period style it was built. Being in the market place, if you have a front facing room do expect some early morning noise from deliveries to the co-op and other shops. It’s not the fault of the hotel but might help you consider a rear facing room if you’re a light sleeper. The room is comfortable and our towels were swapped for the second day. Cups weren’t washed up but that’s a minor niggle and I’m old enough to wash up myself! The one thing that always aggrieves me in any hotel ( granted some people don’t mind) is the fact you have to order your breakfast the night before. Here they have a good selection but as with any establishment that offers this type of service, it’s very much hit n miss if you actually want what you order when you actually get there the next morning. I hate to waste food so I think for me there needs to be a workaround if I change my mind.

The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough .. we arrived 5 hours early but they managed to get us checked in early with no fuss .. provided local knowledge and a quick tour of the hotel .. attentive at every question throughout the stay nothing was too much trouble .. handy location less busy to get around to other towns and villages .. highly recommend and have already spoke to work colleagues for them to go

Good room well appointed and excellent shower facility Dinner was excellent with a good choice anc served promptly with gods humoured staff who went out of their way to endure a great stay.

Very friendly staff, very nice standard double room, nice design, great shower and comfy bed. Pub is great for beers and food and Fairford very good base to explore.
