"Experience the history..."

Beautiful! Who wants to stay in a motel, when you can stay here?! Love the ambiance of the 1800's yet comfy and peaceful. It's right next to the Pettigrew House/Museum; (a Must-See)! And is amongst the Cathedral Historic District; drive around and look at all the beautiful Houses! Close to downtown Sioux Falls with more historic buildings, fun shops, and restaurants. The price is comparable and reasonable. My husband and I had fun!

"A Gem in South Dakota"

It's clean, maintained, and just a fun place to stay. The kitchen has been updated, which was a bonus. There was coffee in the room and there were ample high quality towels (this was such a treat!). The house itself is just charming, but I am a fan of old homes. The downstairs sitting area is easy to hangout in and enjoy. The wrap around porch is just calling for you to enjoy it. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

These certainly are not 'didn't likes.' They are just things to be aware of. There was no staff or person onsite, but the person who manages this house is very communicative. I happened to be the only person in the place at the time. As a single female traveler, sometimes it is just nice to know if there will be other people in the house or not. The staircase might be a challenge for someone who is not too mobile, or if you have a heavy bag.

Location is excellent. Barely a 7 minute walk to downtown. The smart lock check in mad3 everything very easy

Communication leading up to the stay could've been better. I had a couple questions (sent via text and email) that got ignored until day of the stay.

It was for me and my son (15) for 1 night and gone again in the morning the next day. Then this is not a good choice. Everything creaks and squeaks and it smells of antiquity. So you have to love it. We do not.
