Juma Ópera Boutique Hotel & Spa

OMG - this hotel, tugged away and not immediately visible - was SO great. We had an amazing time. The service, the room, the facilities were all superb. The restaurant - more on the pricey side like the Hotel - served very nice food, too. Breakfast as well as for dinner. Do yourself a favor and get the room with breakfast. It’s totally worth it.

The price, although justified, is pretty steep.

My wife and I stayed 2 times one night each in an Opera Suite, the highest room category this place has. First time was more-or-less without major issues, if not counting that the windows have absolutely no sound proofness, so day and night you hear absolutely everything that goes on outside and in the cafes and restaurants nearby. This is Brazil, don’t forget, so a lot of music round the clock and, of course, the traffic that never stops in Manaus. When we checked-in the 2nd time, my wife wanted to take a shower right after we entered the suite and it was pure luck that she didn’t go to the shower directly but opened a tap in hand basin: from both taps came scalding hot water only. 3 maintenance men in dirty shoes showed-up after I called the reception telling me that now they will switch-off all the boilers and disconnect all the heaters and in no time hot water will pass and everything is going to be all right. No time lasted for about 2 hours of them running to and from our suite. And after that we had to request cleaning in the bathroom to be done, so it was in 3 hours’ time that my wife finally managed to take her shower. During this most entertaining waiting time I requested to talk to hotel’s manager and him to answer only one question: you roughly charge USD 700 (seven hundred) for this room, so what is all this? He immediately promised to reimburse me 50%. And produced an important looking receipt (attached) saying that I will receive R$1.687,48 out R$3.734,96 paid for the room (and the only tariff that Opera has is full pre-payment, 100% non-refundable if you cancel less than 2 weeks before arrival) bearing his name: Joao Felipe Andrade and stamp of the hotel. Well, needless to say that I never received any reimbursement. Like needless to say that afterwards there were problems with hot water in the shower. What else? Breakfast seems to be exuberant. And is supposed to last until 10:30 am. We came at 9:30 and the buffet trays were already empty and nobody having any plans to replenish them. If life brings me back to Manaus, I would try to avoid this place at all costs.

Hotel muito bem localizado (centro histórico), quarto muito confortável. Lençois, toalhas e amenidades de ótima qualidade. Café da manhã farto, com buffet e itens opcionais saborosos. A vista da piscina é estratégica, direta para o teatro.

Tudo me agradou.

Localização , conforto do quarto em especial da cama e travesseiros .

Très bel Bel’hotel de charme, en plein centre historique face au magnifique théâtre. Le toit terrasse avec piscine est très agréable avec une vue incroyable sur le dôme et la ville. Salle de petit déjeuner très jolie, lumineuse. Personnel très à ecoute, nous a aidé pour organiser des visites. Grande chambre familiale , lits confortables avec vue sur le théâtre . Hôtel de luxe mais dont le tarif est mérité.

Couloirs un peu longs à parcourir peut être .
