The Great Airport Place

I was really disappointed with my experience. I checked in at 7 and left around 7:40 and I was with my mrs, just walking around town doing some shopping and then When I returned to my room, at around 10:00pm I was shocked to find a stranger sleeping there. This was a clear breach of security and privacy, and it completely ruined my stay. I expected much better from a place that's supposed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for traveler. I was there talking to the guy he showed me a receipt of his booking and the guy was actually sleeping there so I phoned the police they said they wouldn’t do anything I was there for 1-2 hours and I was struggling didn’t know what to do so I ended up driving 2 hours back to my city at night. Worst experience of my life. By Monday I need my full refund back please. Many thanks

There is no remote control, no near parking as suggested, in fact they never sent us a parking email, the bed is uncomfortable and the room walls are dirty. Rooms didnt look like they did on line. Charged 25 for weird security bond after already charging fir room. Never got it back even though we did no damage. In fact we left immediately. Made us sign strange on line contract. The actual address is different to where you are staying so you can’t find. Owners Only converse through long messages .

Shonky, shonky shonky! I couldn't use my booking to stay there. Had to book a reputable place elsewhere and lose my payment! BEWARE! 1. No reception desk, so no check in after 10 pm. 2. I was unable to use my booking, as my flight arrival is 2125, and it's simply not possible to get through immigration, pick up a car, etc. before 10 pm. 3. The venue insisted on copies of my passport and driving license in order to confirm the booking! What's that all about? This has never happened to me in many decades of travelling! 4. Turns out that they are a 'homestay' - AKA a hostel! Shonky! No indication of this on Agoda. 5. Unable to cancel and get a refund! Shonky! Not my fault that flight arrival is 2125 and I can't check in. I have written 830+ reviews on Trip Advisor. What a pity that I didn't read all the terrible reviews about this place! Agoda please note: Despite being a VIP Platinum member, I will NOT be using Agoda again after this terrible experience.

I arrived to the premises and gained entry as per the complex instructions in many emails (? why so necessary to have SO many emails)) AND some complex payment system!!). I was horrified. I could not sleep in the room facing Bath Rd without any double glazing. I was not going to fly 25 or 26 hours back to Australia with no sleep. I have booked into a decent hotel down the road. I advised them to keep my reservation fee as per their policy. My alarm bell was ringing at the start of the booking process - I should have listened to it. I have since seen the bad reviews. This is more like a dodgy hostel. I'm a mature traveller with a lot of international travelling experience. I wouldn't let my elderly mum stay here.

Ppl in the reviews are so dramatic. It was super easy to find and access only 7mins from airport. No it’s not a luxury hotel but for one night before flights it’s perfect! Would go again 100% great prices! To be honest you’d have to be an idiot not to be able to find this place or get inside as they send very clear, easy instructions in the emails! They also have great communication through email. It was £68 for one night so I could get to the airport and honestly if you’re complaining for those prices then you’re just a little bit ridiculous! They leave the lights on outside the house so you can see which one it is and the door codes to access are VERY easy to use. This is not a false review just a very confused person as reviews made out I was going to hell… bed was clean and comfy, people need to stop being so dramatic as it is condemning to peoples business.

We booked through AirBNB. We were very disappointed with the place. The shared kitchen was a pit: nobody had cleaned there in ages, there was old food in the microwave and the cutlery was filthy. The door to the bathroom gave zero privacy (didn't close), you could hear everything. The room was empty and did not provide what was advertised, e.g. the TV had no channels. The code to the room door was not secure in the slightest.

I got in to Heathrow on a red-eye from the US at about 6 in the morning. I booked a hotel for the night before I arrived, just to be sure I could check in that early. The Great Airport Place, however, does not function like any kind of normal airport hotel and does not allow check-ins before 3pm (or 12:30pm with a surcharge). So I wound up having to eat two days of charges here before getting a room at the Ibis on Bath Rd (which actually DOES function like a normal hotel and I highly recommend). Avoid if at all possible.

Dreadful. Didn’t actually stay. Description regarding parking stated there wasn’t any but there was paid for parking off site. Went to book this and found the only parking available for the time required (1 night) was a 28 minute walk from the hotel, others were 48 mins walk!. Not ideal when you have suitcases and need to be up and out by 4am the next day. Hotel owner inflexible and money paid non returnable so had to find another hotel. I know the description said no parking but the description wasn’t good enough and lacking in detail. Who wants to walk for 28 mins . Ridiculous. Avoid.

If you enjoy Filty places this is your place. The walls are filthy, the carpet old and filthy the bathroom filthy and moldy. The doors and jam are filthy, as are the walls and base boards. Even the entry is filthy and full of cobwebs.it was so nasty we left for two of our four night stay and found a place closer to London that was reasonable and beautifully Clean across from Kensington Gardens. Sure this place is closer to the airport but it's really gross. You will hear the traffic and the planes and we never saw "the garden". The staff diesnt know anything will only grunt and don't even bother with management they don't care at all but will lie to accommodate you. My advice even on the cheap you can find something better. Lousy place to spend a birthday, so glad we left. Will suffer the night but Never Again!! Stay away if you're smart. It's discussing!!

My husband booked 2 rooms for us to stay for one night after a late night arrival at Heathrow with morning departure. I didn’t read the reviews til the day before we flew and to be honest when I did I wondered what we had booked! And was concerned! We got a taxi to the house with no problem, and got in with the passcode we had been sent. One of the rooms was downstairs and the other on the middle floor. Each was accessed with it’s own passcode. Do NOT leave your phone in the bedroom and shut the door if you haven’t memorised the code! The rooms were actually fine .. basic, could use an update but were adequate for our needs. The bathroom door didn’t shut properly. The shower was ok but needed descaling as others have said. Double glazed windows worked well against outside noise. The stairs up were narrow and not the easiest to get suitcases up. On the whole I would give this 3/5 stars. The bed was not overly comfy but bedding was fresh and clean. I would not want to spend more than one night there .. you do get what you pay for and if you want any more than basic then book into a hotel and pay more! Husband bought us coffee and egg and bacon rolls for breakfast from a cafe close by. The terms and conditions do say over 25s. Easily walkable to Europecar and Hertz rental cars.
