TROPICAL HOUSE Jungleside Villa

We loved this place !!! Absolutely stunning, beautiful and very clean! The homecooked food was delicious one of the best meals we had in 3 weeks Sri Lanka! We had the best time at the pool and there is lots of space to do Yoga and hang out. Little private oasis with very nice service - for a bit extra money we could keep the room till evening because we had a flight at night.

Beautiful villa and rooms were as expected from pictures. The staff were very kind and welcoming.

Experienced payment issues trying to pay with Amex despite policy saying this was accepted. Ended up being resolved paying via PayPal and all was fine but this was stressful upon arriving. Villa felt more like a home stay rather than a hotel. This wasn't expected but I was still very happy with the service received from staff.

Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere, lovely gardens with lots of wildlife. Staff were very friendly and helpful, arranging tuktuks and taxis. Breakfast was good.

Fan was a little noisy in our room so we turned it off and the mattress was a little soft but that’s personal preference.

Indretningsstilen er rigtig fin. God smag og føles godt med haven og looket. Poolen er dejlig dyb og stedet kunne være roligt.

Når man bor i de almindelige værelser mangler man komfort i fælles arealerne. Borde og stole er pæne, men ikke komfortable. Ville være rart med komfortable møbler udover solsenge. Vi var meget skuffede over larmende børn ved poolen. Reglerne omkring udspring overholdes ikke og legetøj ved poolen gør larmen endnu værre. Vi valgte Tropical House for at komme lidt væk fra stranden og få lidt ro, men når der er børn om dagen og ingen restaurant/bar om aftenen så bliver man alligevel lidt tvunget ned til "byen/stranden". En "honesty" bar på stedet ville være en kærkommen opgradering og samme ville en mulighed for at spise eget indkøb på stedet om aftenen være. Det er ikke for at spare penge, men fordi man efter en lang rejse kan blive træt af restauranterne/larmen i området. Staff is very friendly, but to be totally honest not proffessionals. Service is slow and they forget the orders. Owners seem to be more friendly to people staying in the suites, rather than the deluxe rooms.

The room was spacey with a toddler and it was an intimate boutique property. Staff were excellent!

The breakfast could have been better.
