Mantra Traralgon

Clean, comfortable and great location

Modern hotel and loved that it was very clean -- up to par with 5 star standard. The receptionist and service was very good. They have a pod coffee machine which was very nice. Also complimented us with a bottle of red wine, which we enjoyed in the room. The bed was also very comfy.

There wasn't much to dislike. If we were to be picky, the breakfast included offered coffee in a jug rather than machine/latte coffee

Great location close to shops and restaurants, convenient undercover parking. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was great and the location was close to a variety of restaurants and cafes within an easy walking distance.

New hotel, centrally located within 10-15 minutes walk from Traralgon Station (Ubers and taxis are hard to find, so an important consideration). Clean rooms, very comfortably furnished with a kitchenette and amenities expected for a Mantra. Friendly staff at the reception. Room service available (limited hours) and serves breakfast. Reception closes for the night at 8.00 pm, and a lockout fee of about $100 applies if you forget your access key needed to enter the hotel after hours. The Butter Factory, highly regarded restaurant, is next door, as is Reading Cinema.

There was a conference in Traralgon the week I stayed for 2 nights, and the hotel was likely at capacity. But to be charged 720 Dollars per night for a king room (not a suite) is unconscionable in my opinion. This is the most I have paid for a hotel, even in Melbourne or Sydney CBD, in a long while. So Zero/10 for value for money, and a negative score for ethic.
