Clean, modern, comfortable, warm and quiet. Large sunny patio with sounds of the surf. Kaikōura at its best. Great bed, linen, towels. Kitchen amply supplied, even a built in washing machine. Helpful and friendly hosts. Thankyou. We’ll be back

Very little seafood restaurants and seafoods are expensive, but not the fault of the property.

I booked 1bedroom apt. I was put into studio, round the back and facilities were not as advertised. No wardrobe, hanging space cupboards to put clothing. Dirty carpet. Mould in bathroom. Broken tiles in bathroom and kitchenette. Disgusting smell of bleach and small boxy bathroom floor when wet was slippery and I fell over. The floor felt, when wet, slimey..No work surface for toaster other than in the sink! as the lead on the toaster did not reach the plug on other side of basin. I was not made aware of " no view , no kitchen," until by email the night before check in. When I queried by return email I was told I would be able to make tea or coffee. I had to put a towel on the floor in the shower area so I did not slip and fall again. There was an old non working air con unit still in situ and an now not used tv wall bracket still in situ..I used this to hang up my coat! All in all this was horrendous but no owner on site to talk to just a receptionist with a poor command of the English language. I request a full refund and any out of pocket costs as a result of my fall in the shower due to slippery, not safe, bathroom fall. I did report fall to reception and was offered clean towels. I have more photos should they be required I actually stayed 2 nights though I note it has 1 night at the heading of this review.

The location was excellent and free parking on site is a bonus. The apartment was spacious enough and clean. Reception was friendly and helpful.

Seating in the lounge area was inadequate for 4 adults, 1 not very comfy armchair and a 2, maybe 2.5 seater, lounge. The accessible bathroom, which we didn't need, did not have anywhere to put toiletries. If you lowered the seat you could not comfortably use the shower and there was nothing around the basin area to sit things. There was quite a lot of noise from the upstairs units throughout the night. We were only there 2 nights so just put up with it.

Great location. Across road from the beach. Quiet and short drive to town.
