Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St.

Nazuna Tsubaki St is the most exceptional place. We knew we wanted to include a stay in a traditional ryokan but this was next level. The rooms and facilities are second to none, traditional with a modern twist, spotless and just feel special. The private onsen was a unique touch! Breakfast was fantastic, a real treat & you couldn't ask for better, more inviting and welcoming staff 😊

The staff are really very friendly, helpful and courteous. It's no problem to leave your luggage in a separate room if you arrive at the hotel early. You can choose between a Japanese and a Western breakfast. We opted for the Japanese breakfast every morning and it was really excellent. Especially, Kai made this stay unforgettable for us. On the day we arrived, we came with a large bag from the Pokémon Centre. In the evening, when he explained everything about the hotel to us, he asked us about our favourite Pokémon. For the next day, he organised a little Pokémon scavenger hunt in our room, where we had to find all the Pokémon. The next morning, we even received a reward for finding all the Pokémon. So thank you very much for the unforgettable stay!

We loved how courteous the staff was and the room was so beautifully maintained. Everything we could have wanted was presented to us with little effort and we would love to do a special thank you to staff member Kai. He was very attentive and helpful.

There was a little hair left in the bath probably from the last guest. We mentioned it to the staff and the fixed it promptly.

The hotel was beautiful and in a quiet location (very convenient though!). The room we stayed in was beautiful and the outdoor tub was lush! The service and staff were great - the intro to the hotel, the welcome snacks, the little lounge for drinks and I’d 100% recommend those egg sandos night snacks! The breakfast was delicious too!! Can’t wait to visit again!

Nazuna provided such a high-end experience, starting with a dedicated welcome staff who spoke very good English, very foreigner friendly compared to other traditional Japanese "ryokan". Furthermore, they offered these nice treats and gifts, even everything in the fridge is inclusive! Our room had a modern Japanese bamboo new design, felt really relaxed and Zen. We had the dinner at their in-complex restaurant (only 10 steps away!), featuring all wagyu course set. They had their staffs prepare and cook the tender, marbled beef in front of you to perfection. Breakfast was delicious as well! Not to mention we had to get some help near midnight and their on duty staff was very very helpful, despite needing to use Google translate. One of the best experience we've had!

This is a beautiful hotel. The atmosphere is tranquil and beautiful. The staff are incredible, everyone is so kind, accommodating, and goes above and beyond in their service.

I had a wonderful experience at Nazuna Tsubaki Street. Every staff member was friendly and accommodating. The facility itself is immaculate and designed in a modern Japanese style. They even allowed us to check in early when we arrived a few hours before the regular check-in time. The check-in process left us with a great impression of the hotel's service. We were greeted with a welcome snack and tea, and a staff member guided us through the facility and our accommodations. The traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious and provided a lovely experience. The open-air bath was a delightful treat after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto. It was a delightful stay and a real treat for us.
