Sunshine Motel and Cabins

It say its pet friendly. Plus they write down your credit card number for incidentals yet they don't give an amout they claim they want it open. I don't trust them. We left our room in very good condition. Tiny tiny bathroom. Would not let us leave our dog there while we went to go eat. They say "pet friendly" but are not. So many ridiculous rules. I'll never stay again. I was told right on the lake. Its not you can't even see it. You have to walk across the street through trees and down a path. Lied too about a lot

Room was clean but felt damp - maybe the ac? Very nicely decorated! Beach is across the highway and down a path. Was a bit noisy (guests next door). Host was super friendly!

Quiet location with access to the beach

Wished we had a comfortable chair but realize space would probably not allow it.

This place was very homey, cute room and they had picnic tables and grills that we could use if we wanted to. They have access to the beach that you can walk to and even had folding chairs that we could borrow if we wanted to. They also have a book in the room with the menus from all of the local eating places. It was great.

Perfect little getaway with lake superior beach access right across the highway.

Absolutely Wonderful! The place, staff, rooms, location, etc. Staff was so friendly. Rooms were quaint but cozy, super clean and everything you need. Being dog friendly was a plus for us. The beach access was beautiful! The Only suggestion would be a porta potty by the garbage can on the beach. Otherwise, our new go-to place in the area; Truly, can't wait to go back!!

Great hosts

A retro vibe motel with spacious and well kept rooms. Check in was easy and friendly. The room had nice decor which matched the area vibe. Highly recommend if you are staying in the area and just down the road from the state park.
