Sunshine Motel and Cabins

This place was a little dated but, was clean, owners were friendly, kitchenette had everything we needed, and I had no problem with the cable or internet service. I will definitely stay again when up this way.

Super clean, awesome amenities like chairs outside each room, community outdoor tables, chairs and grills. Community fire pit lit nightly by the hosts. Room with kitchen had every pot, pan, dish, & utensil we needed.

100% recommend and would stay again. Room was lovely and comfortable. Mini kitchen with all cooking necessities, which was great. Even has charcoal grills in the common area along with picnic benches and comfortable seating. Owner/ hosts set up a bonfire each night for guests and provided get was t conversation and fellowship. Anyone looking for a great and convent place to stay, don’t wait any longer and book your cottage NOW!! We will definitely be back. Thank you again to Jeff and Nou for their hospitality.

Owners are very pleasant and go out of their way to make u feel at home. They have a campfire every night for everyone to get to know each other. Super clean and rooms have log cabin effect inside!

Our stay at Sunshine Motel was outstanding! The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the community. Both the general facility and our room were very clean and comfortable. We were exceptionally happy with our stay!

If you are looking for a downtown 5 star hotel - this is not for you. If you are looking for a 5 Star Upper Peninsula experience- this is it. The room took me back to a time long ago when we did road trips in the family cruiser. Up north cabin feel. Beautiful woodwork. Super comfy Log bed and log dinette. Updated and meticulously clean bath. Kitchenette with everything you need. Coffee pot with starter packs. Ice and hair dryer available at the office. Grounds are cute. Again - Vintage mixed with the new. People are all sweet in the courtyard. We sat outside our room and played dominoes. And the beach. It was a summer day in July. I don’t have to say a word. Just go.. If you love the UP for the total package of its history and beauty- This is for you.

From the minute we arrived to the time we left, our visit was unique and special. Our room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained, as well as a nice beach access across the street. Enjoying an evening bonfire with the owners and fellow guests added a touch of magic to our trip. Our hosts and owners, Tony and Nou, went above and beyond to introduce us to the beauty of this area. Their hardwork and commitment to the guests of The Sunshine Motel is a labor of love.

We were going to be a little late for check in due to traveling so we called per and were told it was no issue. When we arrived we were greeted by name and the owners were extremely friendly. Check in was fast and easy and we were in our room in no time. The room was clean and adorable (fishing themed!) and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again when I’m in the area!!!
