Fantastic room, we were upgraded on the day which made it a great start. The spa, massage and breakfast were lovely, would highly recommend this hotel

My mum, daughter in law and myself stayed midweek for the winter sparkle deal. We got checked in by Erin who was so lovely. We used the spa which was lovely. Then all 3 of us had a treatment. The treatments were exceptional. We ate dinner in the club house where all our food and the service was really great. Most peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. Gorgeous breakfast - immaculate buffet breakfast area. All the staff in the hotel are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble! Anyone thinking of going for the ‘winter sparkle’ won’t be disappointed.

Went for New Years Eve gala evening including overnight stay. The room was nice as was the pre-dinner reception. From there it gradually and then suddenly deteriorated. The meal was ok to begin with but then became average at best. The main course and desert were poor for a venue of this stature. Shortly after the meal a fire broke out requiring evacuation. While the staff did their best and got us all to a warmer venue, the evening was ruined. While these things happen of course, we were amazed that when we checked out it was never mentioned and no offer of compensation was made Also if you can book room only then do so. Breakfast isn’t worth it with extremely limited hot food choice

Beds far too hard. Disappointed with spa garden being extremely full and people hogging beds. So £25 to sit on tiled seat because pool too full. Hydro pool goes cooler at night!. Dining options absolutely abysmal currently!

Christmas at Rockliffe Hall was as magical as you could wish. The service from all the waiting staff was exceptionally good. Attentive, courteous and quite honestly top notch. Well done everyone for making our day special.

Had a brilliant time at Rockliffe Hall. The spa was really relaxing and well worth it. The spa treatment itself was spot on, and the views around the place are lovely. The Staff were great: polite, helpful, and made everything easy. They left a few things out for our birthday celebration, which made the day feel special.

Stayed Sunday/monday, staff were all brilliant very polite and attentive which is appreciated. Room was huge and well presented and team quick to change pillows as wife allergic to feathered type. Had the Sunday lunch which was very good, breakfast was decent as well. Spent Monday in the spa which we enjoyed. Had filet steak and sides on the Monday evening which were great. Ate evening meals in the club house which was fine with us given ongoing refurbishment to the old hall. Would like to come back when that is finished.

Credit where credit’s due - the staff are good; well trained, polite and professional The food - disappointing We had Sunday lunch, a group of 9 of us so had to preorder I had the beef. It came with silver foil stuck on the potatoes. I sent it back. By the time it came back the plate was barely warm. The beef was plentiful but a bit too rare for me. One measly soggy carrot, 2 roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, some uninspiring cabbage and some ok cauliflower cheese. Followed by a slice of cheesecake with a dollop of berry sauce - no mention of the berries on the pre-order menu. We then got the impression they wanted us out as it suddenly got very cold in there! Don’t think I’ll rush back. Our local pub does a better job.

Excellent break in a beautiful hotel .This hotel is well worthy of 5 stars. The turn down service is the best we have ever received with some chocolates mouth wash and replacement of coffee pods towels etc The dinner in the clubhouse was a delight especially as this was my wife’s birthday and at the end of the meal she was presented with a birthday treat. Everything is spotless and the staff are the service excellent. We do like a luxurious break and Rockcliffe never disappoints

We’ve just spent our wedding anniversary here and it was fabulous. It was a golf and spa weekend. All the staff were really attentive and friendly. The spa was excellent and the golf great fun.
