Rockliffe Hall

We had a lovely comfortable stay at this pristine hotel. The rooms are very spacious and air conditioned. Our room was ground level with an opening out to golf course with our own outdoor table and chairs. Everything spotlessly clean. Bedding changed each day. I had to request non feather bedding for one bed which was done without hesitation. Separate toilet and shower facility made it easier while sharing as a family. Breakfast cooked to order where the staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. My son had a mocha and said it was the best he has had. Man working in the bar was wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable showing an interest in people . The golf course was v impressive where my son and husband played. I enjoyed a swim in the pool which was air conditioned and the changing facilities spotlessly clean. Everything was as youd expect at a 5 star hotel. If I was to be constructively critical, the only fault was the art work displayed in the corridors being repetitive. A little more imagination to the interior design would create for a more interesting space.

Thank you Rockliffe Hall, from start to finish, our stay was really wonderful. Arriving, we were met by concierge, who took our luggage and parked our car. Reception staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful and our room was spacious and comfortable. Dining at The Clubhouse, again the staff were tip top and the food was delicious. The 'turn down' service offered meant our room was refreshed and topped up with all we needed. We all had a sound night's sleep (once the grandchildren went to sleep!😁). Breakfast was unbelievable, staff again were amazing and all the food, that the four of us ate, was delicious too. The whole hotel looked well maintained throughout. Five star service all round.

Went for a golf weekend and had a wonderful time. The staff in the hotel and the golf club could not have been more helpful. Course was fun and challenging. FOod was great too. Only down side was a rude officious man on security at the entrance gate.

We have used the clubhouse on several occasions for meals & coffees with family and friends I wanted to write to commend the staff from the chefs to the restaurant staff for the fabulous experience we have had on every occasion Food always excellent and service exceptional Helen the restaurant supervisor is outstanding she is so attentive and professional but is so friendly and an asset to you Olivia was also excellent ! Thank you Rockcliffe Looking forward to the new restaurant additions to the hotel

Wow! What a spectacular place! I have had my eye on Rockliffe Hall, hoping to visit for a good while now, my partner took me for my birthday recently and the Hotel exceeded my expectations, we were blown away from the moment we arrived and the service was so impressive, upon arrival we were instantly greeted, someone took our bags and our champagne we had bought and during check in and placed them in our room and into the champagne into an ice bucket so afterwards when shown to our room everything was ready for us, the room was fantastic, so spacious, clean and comfortable and the best shower I’ve ever had. the spa was wonderful and the many sections such as the hydro room and spa garden, allowed it to be quiet and not over crowded, they served drinks too such as very large smoothies! For dinner we visited the club house, it was a lovely stroll over the golf course during sunset to get there, the food was amazing we thoroughly enjoyed it, with regular check backs from the waiters, after dinner we were offered a cheffuer who drove us back to the hotel reception. The restaurant even contacted the bar who held the bar open past close just to allow us some after dinner drinks and they were more than happy to welcome us and ask all about our stay as well as informing us all about the hotel such as interesting facts about the golf course being one of the hardest in the UK and the exciting opening of a new restaurant with a Michelin menu! It truly felt like all the staff loved to be there, respected their workplace and guests and they were all so attentive, professional and kind! Rockliffe now holds a special place in our hearts and the best birthday to date! We would love to return, thank you!

Arrived at 11.30 as we had booked early access to the Spa from 12pm. Grabbed some food in Cafe Terra - really nice. The spa itself is really nice; not busy or crowded. Plenty of room; was able to experience the thermal suite comprising of hot and cold experiences. The tepidarium and igloo were 2 of my favourites. We also had a 60 minute treatment each - I went for the hot rocks - absolutely amazing! So relaxing. My husband had the full body hot oil - very relaxing as well. We also had lunch in the Cafe Terra - both had salads - again enjoyable. At night we ate in the Clubhouse - short walk from the hotel. The steak was really well cooked and nice atmosphere in there. Breakfast too was very nice in a nice relaxing atmosphere. The room was very comfortable, bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities with biscuits provided. Staff friendly, polite and everywhere clean. Overall really enjoyable stay and will be back once the renovations are complete next week. Only thing we didn’t know was you had to take your own footwear for the spa; as the spa is going footwear free or something like that - we asked for some slippers and got some.

Birthday gift for Wife. Excellent service from greeting us at car, reception staff polite and courteous. Room as always, clean and size was large, well decorated and amenities faultless. Spa Garden was exceptional 👌 staff friendly and service was excellent. Golf restaurant on night was unreal. Staff friendly and greet my wife with knowledgeable of Birthday and gift at end of meal, food and drink faultless. Been before and will visit again. You pay for what you would expect and its worth every penny.

Last year we ate at the clubhouse during a spa stay at Rockliffe Hall and it wasn’t a great experience. I spoke with the manager Shauna at the time and she was very understanding of the issues we had encountered. Tonight we revisited using vouchers given by Shauna and the food the service and the ambiance of the clubhouse was fantastic and very much in keeping with such a fantastic hotel. This was so much improved from our last visit it’s quite a remarkable transformation. I would revisit Rockliffe in a heartbeat for both a spa break. Overnight stay and meal. It’s truly one of the best hotels in the UK. For me the only issue had been the food and service and both have been improved to the highest of standards

We had a brilliant stay on 22nd April. The spa is epic!!! Staff are friendly, special shout out to Posh for her amazing service and chefs Dave & Dheejey for the excellent breakfast. It was a lovely stay, enjoying the Spa, the views over the golf course and watching the bunnies playing in the grounds when we got up. We will definately be back.
