Rockliffe Hall

Stayed overnight on valentines weekend , lovely room next to reception but strange in the bathroom , the easy access was ok but 2 half used toilet rolls and no soap for hand wash was not what I was expecting from a 5 star establishment !! I had to use the shower gel to wash my hands after using the toilet so not impressed . 90 minutes in the spa gardens was good although fires were not on so didn’t have the feel of the pictures advertised , the food in clubhouse was exceptional really tasty we sat in quiet bar afterwards but a rowdy group came in so we left . Breakfast was good although it took a really long time was like 15 minutes for a cuppa tea then they brought the toast with it which was then cold by the time our main breakfast came , the whiskey porridge was my partners favourite and mine was delicious but not wowed by the main breakfast I’ve had much better elsewere , relaxing stay but not sure if I would return .

Fantastic place to stay. Had a great meal in The Clubhouse, amazing chill and relax in the spa and a brilliant experience overall. Room Service menu could be a bit better unless we were directed to the wrong page? Felt there wasn’t really much on there for just snacks, especially after having such a large early afternoon meal

Had the most romantic two night stay here with my husband! The rooms in the old hall are amazing and certainly worth splashing out for. The spa and beauty treatment rooms lived up to expectation. All the staff were truly amazing. From the moment we walked through the main entrance where we were greeted and shown to the check in desk to the very knowledgeable sommelier in the Orangery restaurant, nothing was too much trouble. The customer service was excellent. The setting is truly wonderful. With large open grounds to walk in or simply enjoy from the balcony of our room, I cant imagine a better place to have been. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to be pampered and to be made to feel very special. And I must mention the breakfast! This was simply amazing. With a huge choice it really did set you up for the day. I cant wait to revisit!

Absolutely fantastic. We’ve stayed before and loved the place. Spa, rooms, food all excellent. Couldn’t ask for better service.

Lovely hotel very clean and well throughout, wonderful friendly and accommodating staff!!! Would have liked another dining option besides the clubhouse but the food was amazing!
