The Myriad

Das Apartment war sauber, geräumig und ruhig. Allerdings waren die Vorhänge extrem dünn und es war sehr hell im Zimmer durch die Strassenlaternen (wir haben Jacken auf die Vorhangstangen gehängt, dann ging es etwas). Die Nähe zum Bahnhof war prima.

Das Gebäude selber wirkt von aussen sehr unangenehm und das Treppenshaus war extrem dreckig, als ob Hunde da vorher etwas hinterlassen hätten. Nach (zu später) Recherche haben wir ausserdem festgestellt, dass wir in einem unsicheren Viertel waren und nicht bei Dunkelheit unterwegs sein sollten. Das war schade.

Easy to locate, well equipped room, good wifi once I worked it out.

Room is in desperate need of a dust…see bed head. Under the bed a bit of a horror show. TV much too high and small.

Codes were easy

1. Main door was often left open / unlocked and was as tge automatic closure mechisn didn’t work and people left it open. There was no door handle to pull it in so the only option remained to pull the door closed by holding onto the mailbox lid to pull it in. It was not the safest area so Idid not feel safe. 2. The apartment was very dirty. Large pieces of dust in corners and under/on furnitures. Hair in bathroom. It also smelled like human fragrance when I entered and had the feeling it hasn’t been cleaned and desifected properly. 3. The matress was so old and uncomfortable that I could not sleep on it. Could feel springs all over. I requested a new matress and the host delivered a matress comforter 2 days kater which helped slightly, but it still wasn’t great. 3 The laundry washing machine was very dirty, I decided to not do laundry there. 4. Noises from the neighbouring apartment vould be heard very well, the walls are paper thin and do not give a sense of privacy. 5. Parking was not ideal. The “off road” parking spot at the other house’s driveway was difficult and dangerous to maneveour into.

The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was big and the room was spacious.

The room was rather hot and we could turn in the living space. But the bathroom radiator couldn't be turned down we had to keep the door shut to keep the heating inside. Would of liked more towels to have been provided for the stay. Before booking nothing was mentioned the 100 pounds holding deposit for damages luckily we had money to cover it or we might have had to cancel the booking and been charged anyway. Maybe state on booking.com about the deposit required. Still not been put back into my bank yet.

The property was excellent Landlords where even better This was perfect for me especially as I needed safety and some stability in my situation

Great budget accommodation, basic room with a small kitchen. I had no issues during my stay. Location is excellent, very close to the centre and the station. Easy to find as well.

The room could be cleaner. Bathroom, floor and bed very clean but most of the surfaces were not cleaned. Not a deal breaker, I didn't mind too much but definitely something that could and should be improved. More solid room doors and locks would be better as well.
