SUPERHOTEL Matsumoto Oshiroguchi

We stayed here in May 2025 for 2 nights after Kamikochi. I have stayed in a number of Dormy Inn hotels including the premiere range. It’s always clean, functional and the plus is that there is onsen. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast has wide varieties and live up to its standard. However, this time it was somewhat overcrowding. This is the only minus point for us.

except for the front desk staff i met on the first afternoon, the rest of the staff i met during my stay had been very welcoming and helpful

the staggered timing of the public bath shared with males, sometimes noisy as it is near the highway and they were doing construction just at the next lot

Location was good close to transportation to wherever we went

We particularly liked the location as it was in a quiet area yet located near to the station, lots of great restaurants, and a walkable distance away from Matsumoto Castle. Although we didn't have time in our itinerary to sample the breakfast, we enjoyed the welcome drink. The timings for the men's and women's baths didn't quite work out for us either, but we were able to enjoy hot baths in our room itself with the excellent water temperature and pressure. You could select your preferred type of pillow at reception.

The room decor felt slightly dated, and the timings for women's baths was a little inconvenient for travellers who might want to leave early for the day and return only after dinner.
