Old Castle Oia - Adults Only

Located at the lower part of Oia be prepared for a walk up. Great hotel but be prepared to pay the price for the view. Room was clean and staff very helpful. Limited privacy from rooms.

This was my second time staying at Old Castle Oia and I literally came to Santorini the second time for the purpose of staying at this hotel. It is truly the best hotel I have every stayed in. Bianca, who manages the hotel and guests, is a queen and the hospitality she provides is next level. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located in Oia and very walkable to everything you want to see. But obviously the most important part is the view from the pool! There is no better view of Oia or the sunset than the view from the pool. While all the plebs are waiting outside the castle for hours in the heat to secure their spots for sunset, at Old Castle Oia, you can watch it from the luxury of the hotel pool. It’s the most luxurious stay you will have in Oia.

Be prepared for the best sunset of your life. Very good hotel, with great pool and helpful receptionists. Just a few details (which in our case did not harm our positive experience so much): 1 - we came from the port with the transfer booked by the hotel, but there was some confusion on our arrival and we ended up being guided by an employee of another hotel to the door of another establishment that was not the one we had booked, but soon the employees of both the hotels talked to each other and then the people from Oia Castle came to us. 2 - at the time of check-out, we were asked about the consumption of the minibar and we confirmed that nothing had been consumed. So the receptionist talked to the housekeeper and asked us about the consumption of 3 beers, 2 of which were from a brand that had never been in our fridge since check-in and the other beer had actually been purchased from outside. While there was this little embarrassment, the hotel obviously didn't charge us for this wrong billing. 3 - the access street to the hotel is a route for donkey rides that are taking tourists from bottom to top throughout the day. As a result, the street (which is only for pedestrians like almost every village in Oia) ends up being filled with donkey feces, being almost impossible not to step on any of them (particularly at night) on your way to the hotel entrance. This is obviously not the hotel's fault, but it's a fact worth mentioning.

We loved everything about our stay. The rooms are just as pictured with amazing views. Bianca and all the staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home. Thank you so much for everything!

The hotel is in a very good condition as it’s only a few years old. Amazing sunset view from the hotel. The staff was great and helped us with the tour to explore the island and dinner reservations. The breakfast was delicious on our private terrace.

This property was perfect!!!! Best location for sunset. People were lining up hours before the sunset right by our hotel to watch it. The only “downside” I would say about this place is breakfast was an additional $20 charge. Other than that it was superb!!!

The best hotel I’ve stayed at! Beautiful views, clean, and close to everything in Oia. The staff here is exceptional, especially Bianca and Sofia. They made our stay very enjoyable!!

Amazing view, staff very friendly and helpful enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to all the hard working staff you are amazing- the porter guys for helping us with out luggage’s, George was super nice, and Bianca for helping us with dinner reservations and making sure we had amazing stay ❤️

Our stay at old castle oia was amazing. This hotel is in the perfect location, within walking distance of the top places to see in Oia, and the most amazing sunset views right from the hotel without the crowds. Bianca was so amazing and so helpful at all times. She definitely made our stay 10 times better. Will definitely be back one day.

I like to start by saying that the staff (George & Bianca) were great and made us feel as if we were friends and made sure that we were comfortable during our stay. The hotel has has great views of the sunset, the room was comfortable and clean. A minor detail, the toiletries in the bathroom were amazing 😀. As it is the norm in Santorini, be prepared for a hike a well worth hike.
