Metropole Luxury Rooms Split

We loved the 'Melbourne' coffee shop around the corner previously mentioned in a review. Recommend Happy Hour at 5pm. Also close to excellent archealogical museum. Easy walk to the ruins of Roman emperor Diocletian's palace. Great reztaurants close by.

There are a lot of stairs up to the rooms on the fourth floor. There was no reception other than the helpful young man who met us when we checked in. One bed was uncomfortable.

Location was very good very close to the old town- walked to all the sights and restaurants. The host arranged airport transfer too which was very helpful. Good aircon and nice and clean.

They advised to get beach towels at front desk. Never saw anyone manning the desk despite being up in mornings from 7.30-11am never saw anyone to get the beach towel off.

Location was quite good, supermarket, bakery and old town just a few steps away.

WI-FI connection was poor, and the view of old non-painted buildings to an inner courtyard was disappointing.

Beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea. Perfect location near the city centre attractions and a pleasant walk to the port. Perfect distance to Forest Marjian for daily walks and a swim. Handmade by Biberon cafe serves Melbourne style coffee in the street behind and a great bakery tucked away on the corner. You can’t go wrong with staying at Metropole!

The hotel was very central to the main area of Split and there was a delicious bakery next door. The room itself was also very clean and looks just like the photos online.

The hotel was very nice, but not suitable for anyone that can't walk up stairs or needs wheelchair assistance. There were 8 flights of stair to our room on the 4th floor. It wasn't an issue for us, but just as a FYI.
